As I grow older in years, teach me to be stronger in faith.
"For you, O Lord, are my hope,
my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Upon you I have leaned from before my birth;
you are he who took me from my mother's womb.
My praise is continually of you."
- Psalm 71:5-6
"The kindest people do not just exist — they choose to soften where circumstance has tried to harden them, they choose to believe in goodness, because they have seen firsthand why compassion is so necessary."
- Bianca Sparacino
"In the pain of life there are hidden treasures. God does not call us to be masochists who enjoy suffering, but he does call us to be grace-hunters—people who see glimpses of his glory in the mess of life and let our hearts sing." (Helen Thorne)
Saying goodbyes and going separate ways...
Is never easy. A part of me cries as the day approach, knowing it's not going to be the same. But I'm also looking forward to the next chapter. I'm excited for what's up ahead. So rather than 'goodbyes', maybe it's 'see you later'.
I want men to fill their minds with passages of Scripture while they are well & strong, that they may have sure help in the day of need. I want them to be diligent in studying the Bible, in order that the grand old Book may stand by them & talk with them when earthly friends fail
“He may by his afflictions be driven to prayer; but if God doth not speedily answer him, he falls into despair, and neglect of God and of prayer; whereas I constantly continue in prayer, notwithstanding the grievousness and the long continuance of my calamities.”
- Matthew Poole
God knows what He is doing in every circumstance. God is worthy of our praise even in the hardest situations.

"As the battle against pride in the heart is lifelong, so humility should become an ever more deeply seated attitude of living at the disposal of God and others—an attitude that veteran Christians should increasingly display." – J. I. Packer
"No man is a believer, no matter what else he may do, except he give his will, his life to the Master. No man is a believer who does not obey God." (George MacDonald)
Oh, yes, that word ‘Almighty’ cuts both ways! It makes us tremble, and so it kills our pride; but it also makes us hope, and so it slays our despair."
- Charles Spurgeon
"Child of God, are you vexed and embittered in soul? Then, bravely accept the trial as coming from your Father, and say, ‘The cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?’ ‘Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?’
If it be the Almighty who has troubled us, surely he can also comfort us. He that is strong to sink is also strong to save. If he be almighty to embitter, he must also be almighty to sweeten.
