Did you come to our open day? If so then you would have seen Rolf Hooks use his epic saw to mill a massive oak crown. He’s been making great progress on the sculpture since then. We promised to show you some pics, so, here they are.

I did an interview with Andy Dix, founder of @TwmpaCycles in a new series called 'Meet Your Maker', for @WhitneySawmill. The mill is now owned by @WoodlandHerita1, a wonderful charity at the heart of restoring a wood culture across the UK #madeinUKday

My second commission of the year, and no, this isn't a re-post. These smaller units are the same design as my previous couple of posts, and were also commissioned during @herefordshireartweek.

Repairs at Frogmore Papermill are progressing well. It’s primarily decay to tie-beam and principal rafters. Replacement timber is sustainably sourced, UK grown, air-dry Douglas Fir.

We love wildlife at Whitney Sawmills.

Hedgehogs hold an especially warm (and a bit prickly) place in our heart. We encourage them at the mill by ensuring there is plenty of hedgehog friendly habitat about including brash piles in the woodland behind the mill.
