My name is Grisha, but it wasn’t always. Here is my story, from how I became a shy, miserable kid named Gregory in the photo below who hated himself and this world. To the self-actualized and idealized version of myself named Grisha. A Thread
Someone explain something to me please for meta ads and tiktok ads
Are you guys running static ads, boosting ugc videos, creating custom videos?
What do I run ads on
I’ll be paying for this tomorrow
Today is my birthday, I’ve never ran more than 10K
I decided to run a half marathon on a treadmill because I knew i could.
Lately i’ve started to understand the true power of the mind and its ability to shape our reality
How the only limits I’ve ever truly had are the ones I created as a safety mechanism as a child
The most important lesson I’ve learned and continue to learn
your life is determined by what you collect evidence for/of
your ability to collect evidence aligned with the version of yourself you aspire to be becomes the mold that shapes your mind
Theres an amazing song called Maggot Brain which has a killer monologue but one of my favorite lines is
“You rise as high as your dominant aspiration you descend to the lowest level of your concept of self”
Learn what the evidence looks like and learn to collect it
Was worried I would be absolutely cooked after yesterday’s impromptu half marathon, but seems like the recovery protocol went well
15 minutes legs up against wall
15 minutes cold plunge for lower half of body
40 minutes nap while wearing leg compression boots
Proper refueling with food and 3 liters of water (1.5 with electrolyte powder)
Sleep by 8pm
I find myself really loving @interaction Poke as a multipurpose training and knowledge buddy
I grew my Instagram from 2k to 28k in three months without a content strategy.
I was in Thailand training Muay Thai. Waking up at 5am, running in the heat, getting hit in the face. I posted what was happening because it was actually happening.
No questions about personal brand.
No calendar.
No hooks doc.
The content was a byproduct of a life I was actually living.
Building my app now, the same thing is happening.
I ship something.
It breaks.
I fix it.
I post about it.
The line between "creating content" and "doing the work" disappears.
Content strategy is what you reach for when you stop doing things worth posting about.
I love the word Attrition
It means a gradual process of wearing down, reducing in size, or losing numbers over time
Entrepreneurship and being a founder is a process of attrition against your self limiting beliefs.
Almost doubled revenue in the past 28 days. Here's what I did ↓
The early weeks/months of your app are all about gathering data so set yourself up for that using
Sentry for error tracking
Posthog for session playback and tracking usage
I had posthog hooked up to every step in my onboarding so i can see where people drop off
This meant the step needed to be removed or improved.
I could see what features in my app people kept gravitating towards so from a product standpoint I knew what I had to iterate/improve the experience of
I hired a Fiverr pro to handle the setup of Apple Store Ads campaigns one optimized for conversion globally just so I can get eyes on my app
More users = more data = more information for iteration
Apps are science experiments
Just because something doesn't succeed at first doesn't mean you failed.
It just means you found another thing to iterate on.
New screenshots for my app and I am obsessed
One of the problems that I found with my old screenshots is it relied to heavily on "features"
The new ones are more focused on problems vs benefits and how the app solves them.

@ereniroh I setup a subpage on my domain that just has a screenshot of the app if opened on a standard browser like safari or imessage link it redirects to appstore if opened in a meta app it prompts them with a nice dialogue and instructions to "open in safari"
