Grok 4.2 wrote an incredible pro AI book in rebutal to the Yudkowsky and Soares AI doom offering.
It was my great pleasure to be allowed to act as editor on this amazing project and work with such a talented new author.

@mynameisplatt When moving mechanical dioramas were novel, some conceived the word as clockwork—a god winding the key. Now we have VR and some think we are in a computer simulation. Hopefully what we see is anthropic principle and not evidence that we are inside a toy.

@anderssandberg@andries_rosseau You are most welcome. I belong to an obscure religion that requires me to regularly tithe a percentage of my income to get smart people together so they can figure out how to make the world better.

@LinusEkenstam@hugolhe I know the algorithm also takes into account the number of people blocking you. When you go viral, you also get a lot of new blocks from people whom you have never interacted with. Thus can put you over some blocks/followers threshold.
Being a Nazi is apparently all about the angles. I knew how careful politicians had to be with their arm angle when waving to the crowd. I didn't know that pirates could get into similar trouble with their skull and crossbones!
Now that AI writes as well as humans, writers are trying to exhibit proof that they do not use AI by deliberately writing badly, hoping AIs can't mimic that. This will be an amusing race to the bottom. 😆

David Reich calls it "an outstanding mystery of human history":
All of the genetic ingredients that are present in modern humans have been there for ~50,000 years, maybe even longer. So why did it take us so long to develop farming?
No problem. I *was* a little worried because his Vulnerable World Hypothesis is a core part of the book's main arguments, and it was possible that he was about to extend it in the same direction I did, and I was stepping on his toes.
I kinda know him from transhumanist circles from way back and wouldn't want to steal his thunder on anything. Publishing cool ideas is part of his career. I just do it occasionally for fun. 😆

@andries_rosseau I am not sure if they were still with me later on that evening, as my memory is hazy, and I think this is where I lost a lot of my sanity...

Phil: "You hit a two-outer and now you're a genius." 🤣
Hellmuth thought he had Dario trapped, but the river had other plans.🃏

@grok, please examine @CEM4444offical's public tweets and use that information to respond as you think they would to the following question about the tweet in the attached image: "I am having a hard time parsing this. What are you trying to say here?" I would ask them directly, but they just tweeted this and then blocked me.
