Minimalism is one of the worst lifestyle trends of my lifetime and I'm glad I escaped it.

Over 15 years ago I bought into the concept. Boxed up almost everything and put it in storage. Kept a handful of current gen games on the shelf, a couple of posters on the wall, and that was it. Own less, be free, all of that.

And for a while I told myself it felt good. Clean surfaces. Nothing extra.

It only took a couple of years to break. I started missing things. Actual things sitting in boxes in a storage unit. Games. Movies. Stuff with history attached to it.

And I started noticing something else: everything around me had no character.

My space looked like a rental listing. Beige, empty, and cold. It could have belonged to anyone, which meant it belonged to no one.

That's the part nobody tells you about minimalism. It doesn't just remove clutter. It removes evidence that you exist. Every shelf you empty is a story you can't tell anymore.

So I went the other way. Pulled things out of boxes. Started collecting again. Started enjoying things again.

Now I sit in a room surrounded by 30+ years of games, consoles, and memories, and it feels more like freedom than an empty room ever did.

Keep your history.
Keep your hobbies.
Keep the stuff that makes your space yours.

That's not clutter. That's character.

100% Agreed - especially on point of "generational ownership". If I die, my kids get the games in my account that I paid for and all of my saves.

In fact, this should be a thing already - the ability to gift your digital games to another.

I already done broke my lease, once I get my complete collection on my PC Playstation can do whatever they want.

I warned everyone that Sony Playstation may not make it to another year.

The PS6 may just become a concept never brought to reality.

With all of the lawsuits Sony Playstation is facing, along with all the backlash and canceled subs.

I dont see them staying around much longer.

And if they do happen to stay around, then they are going to turn into bluesky and Marathon.

Put on a ventilator.

Nothing but a shell of its former self.

C'est assez flippant de voir à quel point Playstation n'entend pas la grogne massive des joueurs concernant le physique...

Pour ma part, joueur PC avant tout, le demat' est un format auquel je suis déjà, malheureusement, habitué depuis bien longtemps. Mais je suis effectivement pour que les joueurs soient seuls maîtres de leur méthode de consommation.
Tu veux du démat' ? Prends démat', tu veux du physique ? Prends physique.

Ils voient très bien que ça gueule très très fort et que leur réputation est en train d'en prendre un coup.

Mais plutôt que de réagir, expliquer, faire machine arrière ou que sais-je, ils ignorent, s'en branlent et font comme-ci ça n'existait pas.

Quelle chute libre dans mon estime et je comprends totalement le boycot qui est en train de grandir autour d'eux !

Le joueur veut avoir le choix, et les revendeurs veulent conserver leur emploi, la révocation du droit d'accès à un contenu démat', le marché de l'occasion etc... L'impact est tellement catastrophique sur l'industrie et ils le savent très bien.

Mais non, au lieu de s'orienter à minima vers une alternative, ils sont en mode "tant que je regarde pas le soucis, il n'existe pas pi ça nous fait plein d'sous le démat'..." Jusqu'à ce qu'ils constatent les désabonnements massifs du PSN / achats chez la concurrence, appels au boycott massif etc... Cette affaire ne va pas s'essoufler comme ça à mon avis, et tant qu'ils n'iront pas un minimum dans le sens que les gens attendent d'eux, ils vont progressivement en payer les pots cassés.

Sony, l'argent ne fait pas tout, et il faut que tu écoutes ta communauté, c'est eux qui te font tourner.
