Just to be 100% clear - we are taking R10bn of taxpayer money away from healthcare facilities to fund an airline that can't currently fly.

There's no rhyme or reason to these regulations. You can go to a church, cinema, or casino, but not a theatre, library or museum. You can eat in a restaurant, but you can't walk on the beach. You can sleep in a guesthouse, but not an AirBnB. It's all big business lobbying.
The lockdown has left a big impression on me. Buying local products and supporting the shops/services around the corner is not meaningless anymore. There are real people, staff/ families who survive on this spending. From now on: if it's not local it goes back onto the shelf.
