We are doing our best to awaken the young generation because they are the backbone of this nation. Here is my message to the students of St. Benedict Vocational School, Mitooma district.
#ANewUgandaNow#ProtestVote2026#PeoplePowerOurPower
One way in which education institutions run away from accountability is by manipulating their alumni to think that any criticism against the institution’s shortcomings is an attack on the Alumni. Thus they make alumni feel like they have to defend the rot in order to protect the reputation of their degrees. Dear alumni, by doing that, you are being unfair to the victims that may not have been as lucky as you. Do not invalidate and dismiss other people’s pains in order to defend your school. At least stay quiet instead of supporting injustices against others. Do you take pride in an institution that makes students suffer?
This is going to be a really interesting one, and maybe its what we needed - in full light! At supersonic speed, I see that an interim court injunction AGAINST MY SPEECH has already been secured, without serving or hearing me!
So, please send me more evidence to prove that we are not simply damaging their VERY GOOD NAME. Already the evidence coming my way is breaking my inbox… Together we can defend our freedoms and space to speak for those without voice. Together we should fight for our online space, which is part of what is left.
What a BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL RUNYAKORE song highlighting the @NUP_Ug manifesto. Sadly, the artiste Brother Lauben is one of the many who were violently arrested yesterday. He was targeted after making a powerful performance at the rally in Mbarara City. WE SHALL OVERCOME. Uganda Ensya is a NEW UGANDA.
I'm so pissed 😡 btw this area isn't doing well at all 😭 like people here are in bad state ,it's only kaguta road and cows but the rest you don't even wish to stay here ,no good schools ,the water they drink 🙌 nothing, I pitty them
As dr spire is making exhibition irregularities happening in @kiuvarsity , am also carrying out the authenticity of its top leadership.
Al hajji Hassan basajjabala's deeds for the past 20 years;
( The chairman board of trustees @kiuvarsity )
1️⃣ Market Compensation Scandal
Received ~UGX 142B after city market contracts were cancelled.
Court ruled the deals were illegal and ordered him to refund the 💵 money of which he didn't refund.
2️⃣ Forgery & Tax Evasion Charges.
He Faced charges for forging court documents and evading ~UGX 20B in taxes.
DPP ordered his trial to resume after evidence of fake judicial documents surfaced.
3️⃣ Government Loan Defaults
GoU & BoU reportedly cleared his private loans worth UGX 21B.
Recovery has been slow, with threats to auction his properties.
4️⃣ NRM & Political Controversies.
His leadership in NRM’s Entrepreneurs League has been marred by chaos, vote rigging and protests over integrity issues.
5️⃣ Religious Leadership Disqualification.
He was Disqualified from Uganda Muslim Supreme Council leadership @uganda68510 amid election irregularities.
There’s a similar unheard case in High Court since 2007, where Mr Museveni DIRECTED BOU under the leadership of governor mutebile (rip) to give Mr Basajjabalaba $11.3m & it was similarly given.
Inclusion, @kiuvarsity is being governed by people who are capitalists , money oriented, corrupt and have lost dignity in the society.

I have been reliably informed that some weeks back, the 4 commissioners of Parliament (Hon Solomon Silwany, Hon Esther Afoyochan, Hon Prossy Akampulira Mbabazi & Hon Mathias Mpuuga) received a second service award of 400m shs each, which was channeled through the Parliamentary SACCO so as to avoid having a clear paper trail.
This money, apparently was intended to see them through the campaign season.
These leaders, through their agents, have been spreading propaganda in the past few days that I was also given a service award.
This is completely false, and it is meant to be a cover up for this second service award that the Commissioners gave themselves.
Even if they quietly send any such money to my account, I will instruct my bank to immediately return it to the sender…because such under-the-table money is illegal and irregular in every sense of the word!
I have been following the @kiuvarsity exhibition by Dr. @SpireJim and I decided to carry out a brief research about the university and its apparent exploitation of students.
Mr. Museveni built a primary and secondary school in Tanzania 🇹🇿, yet Kampala International University (KIU) also has a branch in Tanzania 🇹🇿 and another in Ishaka, Mbarara.
Secondly, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at KIU is Al Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba, who happens to be a longtime friend of President Museveni just like Museveni and Harm.
In 2007, Mr. Museveni directed the late Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile, who was then the Governor of the Bank of Uganda (@BOU_Official) to give Mr. Basajjabalaba $11.3 million USD (approximately UGX 149 billion).
We are clearly dealing with capitalists whose main objective is profit making rather than advocating for a welfare state.
Since KIU is a science based university, it’s worth noting how Mr. Museveni has consistently prioritized science and technology raising salaries for science teachers while neglecting those in the arts. Could this be connected?
Given the arrogant attitude of the KIU administration, one might even assume the institution is state owned.
I also question why @NCHE_Uganda doesn’t regulate the fees charged by private chartered universities. Then I remembered when the same body validated Gen. @EmmRwashande’s military certificate earned in just eight months as equivalent to a six-year academic qualification (S6).
This clearly shows how deeply education in Uganda is under captivity.
The UGX 300,000 surcharge imposed on students is totally unfair. You cannot force students to clear all tuition within the first 60 days after returning to university.
We strongly condemn the mismanagement at @kiuvarsity because education should be a service not a business.

Dear @kiuvarsity , if you think that this is going to be sorted by hiring influencers to explain away the concerns, then you are going to have to spend a lot! If you do not own up and commit to address the genuine concerns raised, you have no idea what you’re faced with. The money to influencers is a waste, like cups of water at a forest fire. They’re only making it worse by increasing the anger of the victims whose pains they are turning into food.
