After weeks of Democrats blocking progress, the Texas House finally has a quorum. We’re wasting no time moving critical legislation, like flood relief, forward. Texans deserve results—not walkouts. Time to get to work. #txlege
Ken Paxton is throwing everything he has at us.
He’s called me a radical leftist. He’s called me a fake Christian. He’s even called me a vegan!
I’m an 8th generation Texan — I've been eating BBQ since before Ken Paxton’s first indictment.
Tonight, Texans chose a politics rooted in decency, dignity, and the belief that our state belongs to all of us.
Thank you to every volunteer, voter, supporter, neighbor, and friend who made this victory possible. This campaign was built block by block, conversation by conversation, and community by community.
Now, we keep going, for public schools, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, clean water, and a Texas that is kinder, safer, and more hopeful.
Let’s win this thing.

Texas should have a good lawyer.
Extremely grateful to have earned the Democratic nomination for Texas Attorney General.
We’ve got a lot of work to do — onward to November!
TODAY, Tuesday, May 26, is PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION DAY! Polls open at 7am and close at 7 pm. Williamson County registered voters may vote at any countywide polling location listed. #electionsmatter#txdems
Greg Abbott tried to kick me out of office for breaking quorum.
Today, the Texas Supreme Court told him that’s not allowed.
I will never let the governor bully me out of doing what’s right for Texas. When democracy is on the line, I will always fight back.
Don't worry, President @BarackObama, we hear you and will certainly vote for @jamestalarico for US Senate, @GinaHinojosaTX for Governor, and every single Texas Democrat down the ballot this November! The WilCo Dems are FIRED UP and READY TO GO! #texasdems#vote2026#hope
President Obama just appeared at a taco restaurant in Austin with @jamestalarico and @GinaHinojosaTX.
They chatted with restaurant goers and as he left, Obama said, “remember to vote!” to big cheers:
Gov. Abbott, you have been in charge of Texas for 11 years, and under your watch, we have experienced a gun violence surge of over 60%. We have become the mass shooting capital of the United States.
You defund public schools and refuse raises for teachers. Now you dare ask teachers to be our front-line soldiers against school shootings?
Trump voted by mail THIS WEEK. Now he wants to make sure you can’t do the same.
The President deciding who can vote by mail is blatantly unconstitutional.
Republicans know they are going to lose the election. So they’re trying — once again — to cheat to win.
76% of voucher applicants are wealthy families already in private school.
We knew this would happen — and Republicans voted down my amendment to prevent it.
Voucher scams are a taxpayer-funded handout for the wealthy.
WilCo Dem Party Chair Kim Gilby is now on site talking to voters. Says she’s hearing of long wait times at several polling locations throughout the county.
“Everybody can't wait in line two to three hours to vote, so we're seeing people being unable to vote today,” Gilby said.
Austin is waking up to another gut-wrenching act of gun violence.
My heart is broken for the victims, for their families, & for the pain afflicted on our community.
I'm deeply grateful to our APD officers, EMS providers, & first responders who ran toward danger to save lives.
They love a DUI when it’s a non citizen, but a DUI when it’s an elected state senator? No consequences, never happened, isn’t that right @DrSchwertner?
This “Utah violinist” is Donggin Shin, a CRIMINAL illegal alien from South Korea. His criminal history includes a DUI conviction.
Shin entered the U.S. on a tourist visa on September 3, 1998. This visa required him to depart the U.S. by March 3, 1999. Over 25 years later, he was STILL illegally in the U.S.
Our message is clear: criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the United States.
