Judge Sullivan is getting calls to hold public contempt hearings involving jurors who, like Lindsay Clancy, are themselves nurses in the Clancy m*rder trial.

Three female jurors said nurses on the panel answered questions about medications and guided jurors through hospital and toxicology reports during deliberations.

I've served on a jury. Jurors are required to rely only on evidence presented in court. Medical questions should have been answered by sworn experts or sent to the judge for clarification; not explained by jurors using their personal knowledge.

The nurse jurors are accused of acting as unsworn experts and using their interpretations to influence the panel and pressure the lone holdout juror to vote not guilty.

The jury reportedly deliberated for more than 36 hours across seven days before becoming deadlocked 11–1. Discussions allegedly became so heated that alternate jurors thought they were fighting.

The nurse jurors should face contempt hearings.

I believe the footage below to have been taken at Combat Outpost Keating sometime in 2008 or 2009 and shows the precarious tactical situation that the outpost was in at the valley floor.

Our soldiers had to engage targets that always had the high ground, leaving them constantly vulnerable to enemy fire.

This footage was taken before the base was attacked by 300 insurgents in October 2009 and nearly overrun.
