“Evan Bouchard didn’t deserve the Norris”

- Evan Bouchard has better defensive metrics than all of Norris finalists
- Evan Bouchard led the Norris finalists by a combined 51 points
- Evan Bouchard faced the 10th most difficult competition in the entire league
- Evan Bouchard played more PK relative to this teammates than any of the Norris Finalists
- Evan Bouchard has a Goal Dif On Ice vs Off Ice higher than all Norris finalists combined by a 41 goal margin
- Evan Bouchard played with the worst goaltending in the NHL and the worst defensive system
- Evan Bouchard had less giveaways leading to goals than the other finalists combined
- Evan Bouchard was lights out to end the season while some of the finalists ghosted
- Evan Bouchard should be the Norris winner but he’s not because of Eastern pundits and morons who watch Tiktok Clips to base their perception of a player

The hypocrisy of this award is on full display on two fronts:

1. If it's a point scoring award (which is basically has been for the past 20 years), not including Bouchard here is a massive snub. In that timeframe the points leader won 11 times, second won it 4 times, and the remaining times (V. Hedman (5th), D. Doughty (9th), D. Keith (6th), Z. Chára (12th), N. Lidström (5th)) closed out the remainder. I haven't checked but I would bet the leader was a finalist in all those cases.

2. If in fact it's a defensive award now, not including Moritz Seider is a snub of epic proportions. He is far and away the best defensive defenseman in the league.

One has to question how the conclusions of the voters were drawn, it's not a bad list, but I'm not sure I can call it fair when the guy that led all of these guys by 14 points isn't even a finalist.
