UPDATE: The Congress of students of @UnilagNigeria have now agreed to hold off on the protest against Unilag fee hike as part of efforts to secure the release of #UnilagII. An ultimatum to reconvene and resume peaceful protests in the next 48 hours was passed. #SaveUnilagStudents
Good morning PPRO @BenHundeyin ,
I hope that you are doing well today. My name is Osatohamhen Ebhohon, the PRO of Lagos AAC. As much as we will agree that it is too early in the day to start reporting the unprofessional and I dare say, the illegal activities of your men, we can also agree that it is not too early for the police force to abide by the rule of law. The national PRO of AAC Femi Adeyeye, who is also a student of Unilag has just been arrested by your men for leading an anti-fee incrementation protest in front of Unilag. Now I must also state that at no point did the peaceful protest turn violent and if you people claim it tends to become violent, it's the duty of your men to ensure that the protesters are protected from danger by identifying those who are instigating violence. I am not surprised that your men went ahead to disregard the rights of Femi and others that are protected by not just the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights but also the Constitution of Nigeria. However, I am ashamed that the police have been reduced to a tool that is used to fight against Just causes that they also will benefit from.
So I Don't digress to a point where you misconstrued the purpose of this text, I will go ahead and state our demands. We demand the immediate release of FEMI ADEYEYE AND ALL OTHER PROTESTERS THAT YOUR MEN ARRESTED. THERE ARE BIGGER AND REAL FISHES TO FRY LIKE THOSE CRIMINALS WHO ROBBED THE AAC LAGOS DEPUTY CHAIR THE OTHER DAY.
Again we demand immediate release and a public apology to the protesters.

The Management of @UnilagNigeria and the @policeng must ensure immediate release of @activistfemi and others illegally arrested during #FeesMustFall protests that commenced at the university today. The VC must know that these cowardly acts cannot stop the resistance against the newly introduced school fees.
