वन सुरक्षा श्रमिक ने अपनी सुझबूझ से अपनी एवं मजदूरों की जान बचाई ।

दिनांक 28 अगस्त 24 को पेंच टाईगर रिज़र्व के अरी (बफर) परिक्षेत्र की एक बीट मे लेंटाना उन्मूलन का कार्य प्रगतिरत था जिसमें 7 मजदूर संग्लन थे। सुरक्षा श्रमिक श्री जयकिशन कटरे भी कार्य के दौरान देखरेख कर रहे थे। तभी शाम के लगभग 5.10 बजे, 2 भालुओं ने श्री जयकिशन कटरे पर अचानक हमला कर दिया l श्री कटरे ने इस दौरान साहस और सूझबूझ का परिचय देते हुए हाथ में रखी लाठी की सहायता से भालूओं के मार्ग में आकर भालूओ का डराते रहे और उन्हें आगे बढने नही दिया। उन्होंने भालूओं को बिना चोट पहुंचाये, भगाने में सफलता प्राप्त की। उन्होंने अपनी बुद्धिमत्ता से न केवल स्वयं को सुरक्षित रखा अपितु कार्य कर रहे मजदूरो को भी सुरक्षित किया और भालू को भी कोई शारीरिक हानि नहीं पहुंचने दी।

भालूओं के भाग जाने के बाद इस दौरान हुई गहमागहमी और उत्तेजना से वो मुर्छित होकर गिर गये। एहितहातन तौर पर परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी एवं स्टाफ द्वारा उन्हें अरी स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र में स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण हेतु लाया गया, जहाँ चिकित्सक द्वारा उन्हे स्वस्थ्य बताया गया ।

पेंच टाईगर रिजर्व प्रबंधन श्री जयकिशन कटरे के इस साहस एवं बुद्धिमता पूर्ण कार्य की प्रशंसा करता है।
