@ajlamesa Worked well with Liberation Day round 1. But, weโll see about this round. Whatโs rattling here is that current actions are consistent both with โheโs acting tough but will ๐ฎ againโ and โhe tactically retreated for six months to get OBBB passed but will now steam aheadโ
@ajlamesa Shocked by everyoneโs judgment here - growing up in Central Texas, it was pretty drilled into me how dangerous some of these small rivers / creeks can be. Iโve been in close calls myself.
@ajlamesa@stewak2@buccocapital Itโs even better for them - the place where the Congressional GOP most obviously disagrees with Trump is on tariffs. Vance probably keeps 10% for a few years to save face, but no way he tariffs EU and Mexico at 30% or whatever crazy shit itโs at now
@stewak2@buccocapital Disagree - theyโre looking for cover from Trump primarying them. I do think a super clear thing like this would be enough to remove that threat.
@AstorAaron All he did today was push back what was supposed to happen in 2 days by nearly 4 weeks, and tweak it slightly?
My guess is thereโs an option to have the number reduced by 50% for countries that give token concessions and (critically) donโt push back against sectoral tariffs
@NickyFrank30 Idk why he doesnโt just say โwhen I was 17 I thought this was the right thing to do but I realize now it was wrongโ
In general I donโt believe in holding things that people did as teenagers against them
@RidleyDM This is an important distinction though - clueless execs are allocating a ton of money to GPUs + LLMs to do stuff that other compute products could do better and more inexpensively
