@Kriegler007 I believe the GoldenEye fight was inspired by FRWL. Trevelyan is also the only main villain who has actually beaten Bond in a fist-fight. Bond only wins later on by luck with Natalya's distraction giving him the advantage.

@SlickOG Yes. It was shockingly bad. The worst Bond novel I read and the only where I actually wished for the villain to win. This time I'll wait for the reviews, but I shall not hold my breath.

@ChristianMSwan @MavNoir IMO it's well shot with one or two good action pieces. But it's overlong, melodramatic, dull and depressing. It's story cobbled together with disconnected fragments from previous films, wasted ideas and at worst a character assassination of Bond. I would never watch it ever again

@ChristianMSwan @MavNoir If I wrote NTTD I would have Bond and Blofeld have a final showdown, with Bond forced to choose between the world or his daughter, only for Bond to get at Blofeld as the island blows and have an ambiguous ending, like Holmes and Moriarty over Reichenbach Falls.
