We don’t blow up boats off Miami because 25% of the time suspicion is wrong.

We shouldn’t do it off Venezuela either. These are small outboards with no fentanyl and no path to Florida.

We can’t just kill indiscriminately because we are not at war. It’s summary execution! 

Everyone gets a trial because sometimes, the system gets it wrong. Even the worst of the worst in our country get due process.

The bottom line is that execution without process is not justice, and blowing up foreign ships is a recipe for chaos.

I see no point in searching for left/right valence in Tyler Robinson. He fits the school shooter archetype: young, disaffected, ideologically amorphous, extremely online and raised in gun culture. The theater of such violence is just expanding to include political assassination.

Actually, the cities with the highest murder rates in America are all in Republican led states, yet Trump isn’t sending the National Guard into these cities:

1) Jackson, Mississippi - ~77.2 per 100K
2) Birmingham, Alabama - ~59 per 100K
3) St. Louis, Missouri - ~40 per 100K
4) Memphis, Tennessee - ~40 per 100K
5) New Orleans, Louisiana - ~40-50 per 100K

The murder rate in Chicago is ~21.4 per 100K. Los Angeles is ~8.4 per 100K.

It's all political theater.

@OmarKelly This seems to go against what you were implying earlier in those practices in Chicago-- the Dolphins were "soft" for not using the same level of violence that was used by Chicago. Do you want them to be more violent or not? Are they "soft" if they don't do this?

@michaeldickson Where was the IDF on Oct. 7th? How could they fail so miserably to prevent an attack of that scale? I thought they represented one of the strongest militaries in the world. Has anyone lost their job in Israel for this complete failure?
