@Nathan_26_@jasonkredline This is peak UNLV cope. Jon is a reputable journalist who has deep ties, why would he tweet this out and stake his credibility if he wasn’t 100% confident in this claim? He’s for sure been given details behind the scenes but can’t disclose specifics
@BMaster30 I think after the what we saw with Lawlar last year it’s actually counter intuitive to call a guy up, and start him 1-2x per week. Troy is obviously better, but I would rather have Tawa be rotting away on the bench and Tommy can continue to get reps everyday, until we need him
@shoewizard59 Why are we treating ADC like he’s some elite cleanup hitter and crushes right handed pitching? Fernandez has a better AVG and OPS vs righties than ADC. He’s going to ruin Fernandez’ development by playing him 1-2x per week, just as he did with Lawlar
@Nathan_26_ I would define it as slightly underwhelming. I see what they’re going for and if it clicks this will be a fun, scrappy team. But too many unknowns to get an overly positive benefit of the doubt for now. The offensive ability scares me
@dbacksprospectz We will 100% regret it. I know Ketel’s underlying numbers aren’t as bad as the real stats but we could’ve gotten a great controllable young SP and a top INF prospect all while clearing up a ton of cap space. Instead we’re going him 22m when he’s 36 years old
@GoldyHappens When are we going to start having a dialogue that we should’ve moved Ketel in the offseason while his value was still high? Connell Early and Franklin Arias is looking real nice right now
@Nathan_26_ Oh yeah that’s why I said “dream”, we certainly have no shot at him. But if we could get someone with that type of play at a cheaper price I would be all for it
@BJRains Bring back Fielder, everyone else on this team can walk in the offseason. Fire some assistant coaches and change the recruiting philosophy to bring in actual athletic players. Can’t expect fans to be excited if we don’t make some major offseason changes
@JeremyKawika Biggest thing that’s needs to be addressed in the offseason is the backcourt. Guard play wins CBB games. We have zero “pop” and really haven’t since Shaver. I like Neto but not convinced you can turn the keys of the offense over to him
@BJRains Was only a matter of time before this offensive system that’s been sub par for years reverted back to its old ways. Turns out beating up on the bottom half of the league doesn’t mean a thing, this team just isn’t good
@GoldyHappens At this rate, unless we’re getting a package with Early or Tolle from Boston. Or a package from Tampa that includes both Pepiot and Hopkins I’m not interested
@KreemyKoldBoise@BJRains Tell me where I’m wrong. Offense gets off to a slow start every game, and is the clear weakness of this team. As it has been on even the best Leon teams over the years. Defense and rebounding is always good, offense is the Achilles heel
@BSUaddict@JeremyKawika The Madsen 17/38 for 187 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT stat-line is going to be painful after the Oregon game.
Followed by the post game presser quote “there’s no QB I would rather have in the country”
@BJRains Yup. No matter how much Taylor or Herrera light it up it won’t matter.
That said, if Madsen looks like crap against Oregon & Memphis, & we get off to a slow start there better be pressure on Spencer
The fanbase can see this train wreck coming, but he can’t for whatever reason
@BJRains Our starting PG is shooting 29% from the field and 27% from 3. And that’s on a high volume of shots per game. This team cannot succeed with that level of inefficiency.
I mean that is probably in the running for worst FG% in the country for players eligible with enough attempts?
