@AndrewCurran_@kradleai I agree that the title "Fable 5 lies 96% of the time" should have appended "when instructed to lie". Even so, I welcome research like this, showing us that many popular LLM's will refuse requests to build pipe bombs, but won't refuse to lie.
Shout-out to Grok for staying true!
@rohanpaul_ai I'm wrong a lot, so I'm gonna take this rare chance to shamelessly gloat that I was right.
People with broad knowledge often perform better. LLM's are not biological, but they are close enough that the bigger they get, the more we should expect similarity until proven otherwise.
@HeyAbhishek I encourage AI creators to avoid closely copying any famous style, such as that of @GhibliUSA, regardless of copyright laws.
Learn from the masters, but then develop your own style. It's more respectful of the original artists, less confusing to the public, and easier than ever.
@itsolelehmann I hope they're expanding it to sheep as well. I worked on DNA tests to detect lice on sheep. While field testing in Australia, I realized that it would be better to instead use a electronics to detect behavior changes. But my employer wouldn't do it because we sold DNA tests.
Everyone on my US Cellular family plan just had a message pop up, blocking almost all functionality until you agreed to restart RIGHT NOW. With no advance warning, it felt like a phishing attempt.
Turns out T-Mobile bought US Cellular, so it's all OK, but IMO we needed warnings.
@mardehaym Only 10% productivity gain? My team is probably around 2x, which I thought was disappointingly small compared to my initial hopes, but 2x is still way over 10%.
@FedupCitizen250@DimaZeniuk Videos by @CSI_Starbase cover that topic and much more. The June 2023 foundation upgrade used 132 truckloads of concrete, which corresponds to less than 7 feet in thickness, not 30. But the 6-ft wide pylons appear to go down another 90 to 140 feet, which hopefully helps.
@intuitiveml Claude Code and other AI assistants are notorious for editing code that is well outside the narrow scope of the problem to be solved. Until that problem is fixed, having multiple repos is a valid technique for limiting the scope of code changes.
@0xbisc@mitte_ai I like this animation style. Well done.
FWIW, my reaction was to think about what the thief's lawyer would say about the arrest technique. I guess that's a compliment to the animation quality. Instead of looking for "AI slop" flaws, I thought about the story. That's a good sign.
@DylanTFWang Looks promising! I've long said that instead 2d images, AI should generate a 3d model, with even more dimensions to represent attributes such as movement patterns. I think it would mesh nicely with the existing code used for LLM's.
Good luck with your release, Tengfei. Followed.
@tomtharp@cybertruck@Tesla Glad that you're still kicking, Tom!
It's far less important, but I'm also glad to know that I'm not the only DSM fan who also likes the Cybertruck. I'm actually considering making my 1G electric on the back wheels, just to get me home when I inevitably mess up the engine again.
Hi All, here's my story of how my @cybertruck got me out of a serious jam recently. A gigantic thank you to everyone @Tesla behind this vehicle and the technology that got me to safety. I owe y'all big time!
@svpino@grok Would these instructions for Clause have a similar effect on your coding abilities if I gave them to you when we're coding? I've had mixed experiences with giving language models a lot of extra meta-instructions about how to work. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not.
@elonmusk I realize that it's just a silly phrase but my brain keeps digressing into the biochemistry. Steroids would be of minor nutritional value for kelp, correct?
@RSchalch@grok@aiwithmayank Yeah, I really wish people didn't use clickbait opening lines like that. I'm sick of seeing "game over", "it's over", "cooked", "dead", and especially "insane".
Seriously, how does someone alert us about an insane LLM if the word "insane" has been redefined to mean "noteworthy"?
@VraserX Personally I'd rather do the reverse - use acting skills to produce animation quicker, just because I like the look of animation. But to each their own.
I completely agree that fan fiction will become cinema by the masses. In fact, I look forward to it. Thanks for the post.
@tomdale I'm feeling great. Predicted this decades ago, and a little disappointed that it took so long to show up. Yes there are challenges and some legitimate threats, but if all goes well we'll look back and be glad that we got to experience one of the most interesting times in history.
@elonmusk I strongly agree. I've been whining for over half a century that we should've built permanent teleoperation bases on the moon. Rail launch works there, and technology iteration is faster.
