I hope she approaches this with the seriousness, humility, and humanity it deserves. She should be judged on what she does going forward and her heart. We have lost that in todayβs polarized politics. She just lost her brother and should be given the same empathy we would give to anyone else who experienced such a loss. She also isnβt her brother and will write her own story. To each their own, but Iβm leading with empathy here.
Fair enough bro. Iβm far from a religious fanatic. In this sense God can be whatever brings hope to these folks. Some believe life is a test and God, AKA the creator isnβt picking sides. I can agree with some of both. For me one way to view God is as our creator and also the feeling inside you when you witness or take part in human kindness amongst each other or with other beings. You feel it regardless of church or education. To each their own though.
@MandyKnowsDC Do you remember Martiniβs on H St like 2005-2008? They had a drink called the 14K that was limited to only two per customer. I donβt remember the one time I finished (or I assume) the second one.
@CollinRugg The Lordβs light shines through the darkest of lifeβs challenges. This is beautiful and forces us to confront our human emotions of compassion, empathy and forgiveness vs punishment. I think it gives hope to the fathers (especially those who will rejoin society) and the kids.
