One of small-town Virginia’s most popular ice cream places, Moo-Thru, has been expanding, and the second Northern Virginia location just opened in Burke, VA.
The fun part about the original location is It’s a big barn with a drive-through ice cream shop. So this location is not as fun, but it still has the same really good ice cream, and it’s not an hour away.
If someone makes fun of my hometown I do not care. If someone makes fun of the general area I live in, I do not care. BUT if someone calls me "from the south" because I live in Virginia, I get bizarrely offended...
I love the south and I love all the people of Virginia. If you would like to go back to the beginning of this, you can see the language used in my messaging. I said I am “bizarrely offended “. That actually means that even I am self-aware that there’s no reason to be offended because there’s nothing wrong with being from the south. Also, the whole thing was a joke anyway because this is Twitter and it’s a place to not be serious. But I do like the term from 1876, and I’m proud to be the first person called a carpet bagger since Abraham Lincoln.
I don’t really care about the kids or any of that stuff. Kids don’t make disgusting noises. it’s the grown adults that are making the noises and picking their nose when they’re sitting next to me. I also loved going to a certain theater, where the crowd was really loud and cheering during the movie and stuff. That stuff is all good. It’s the disgusting behavior not the loud behavior.
I absolutely cannot stand going to the movies because of the other people in the audience acting like they’re in their bedroom, watching a movie with the coughing and sneezing and nose picking and hands in their pants and talking and cell phones. so after going to the movies on a weekly basis when I was younger, I pretty much just stopped going to the movies altogether.
The few times I go to the movies when I’m afraid a movie is going to be spoiled on social media, like I did the other night for backrooms, I sit in the second row slightly to the left. And it drives the person at the ticket counter crazy they keep saying “sir that’s the front of the theater” and I’m like yeah I know that that’s where I wanna sit lol.
that’s why I said that there’s a line below Richmond, Virginia. I did not say all of Virginia is not the south but the Virginia I live in is not the south.
there are 77 farms in Fairfax County. There are 80,000 federal employees in Fairfax County. Fairfax County is not the south. Fairfax county is in Virginia.
@VoxAllie Fairfax County Virginia is not the south. we are no longer colonies, and the invisible line created back, then is no longer accurate. The south begins maybe in Richmond, Virginia, but probably farther south than that.
@Return2RFK@B1GDuckEnergyy that’s what I did for all the NFL games and that’s why I got such cheap tickets, I just didn’t know if college football was the same way
@B1GDuckEnergyy so it looks like Nebraska plays at Oregon this year? And it looks like that’s two days before Monday Night Football in San Francisco for my commanders. So it looks like I I’m about to plan a trip back to Eugene for an Oregon football game. How does one acquire tickets to an Oregon football game? Is there a certain day tickets go on sale? Honestly, I don’t even know how to buy JMU tickets lol.
@UmpDump2005 I get they are the colors from the logo, I just was wondering why they went with that. Especially since one of the colors are Knicks colors.
Ruthie’s All Day, an arlington favorite, is now in Fairfax. it’s been here for a little bit now, but I went back a second time for their burger and wings. But the thing I really like here are the bar and cocktails. A little shake up from all the bourbon drinks I normally drink.
Is this the place for brunch? I don’t really do brunch, but everybody always ask me what’s a good spot for brunch, and this seemed to be that based on a look at the restaurant and the menus I saw.
have you seen the one where they live underground there’s two seasons of it. It’s kind of worth hitting. I don’t know what it’s called the core or something. That’s the best on Apple TV.. if you want a little more murder, she wrote meets semi comedy, there’s a show on Peacock with the girl with red hair from American pie. Again, I don’t know what it’s called. But there’s two seasons of that.
@RollieGuacamole My neighborhood has an Amazon Hub too where all the lockers are locked up, but if it requires a signature, they can't drop it there for some reason.
Today is package delivery day where a signature is required and I can't wait to get this package. So excited.
Now all I have to do is sit right next to the front door for the next 6 hours in silence to make sure I hear the knock. May have to wear a diaper in case.
If I get to the door within 10 seconds, I may get my package. If it takes me 20 seconds...the "We'll try again tomorrow" sticker...
