In this work, we introduce Priors-informed Regression for Inclusive Score Modeling (PRISM), a transfer-learning framework that integrates ancestry- and tissue-specific variant-level annotations to improve polygenic score transferability, achieving up to a 36.5% increase in predictive performance (R²) in the African-ancestry UK Biobank participants.
Huge thanks to the co-authors for making this work possible.
I’m especially grateful to our corresponding authors, @manoliskellis & @yk_tani, for their invaluable guidance throughout the process.
We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
Congratulations to our entering class of MD-PhD trainees @HarvardMITmdphd who received their white coats today! So wonderful to celebrate together with you and your families ♥️ @harvardmed@MIT @NIGMSTraining @NIHAging
Today, first year Harvard Medical School and @dental_harvard students mark their transition into the medical profession at the White Coat Ceremony.
