@jameszimmermann We also know there is such a thing as a white martyr which is someone who suffers persecution, especially over a long period of time, without shedding blood. Some might say the term white martyr is inappropriate in your case. I would beg to differ.

@jameszimmermann The creator of https://t.co/41mnFR9rC5 made a comment on the feast of John the Baptist’s death. John did not die specifically for Christ, so some would say he did not qualify as a martyr. But Jesus is the Truth, so John, in dying for the truth, died a martyr for Christ.
