True. Doesn’t this also mean we should focus filling in the gaps of religious upbringing in young Catholic families so we don’t lose their kids as they grow up? It’s hard to pass on to your kids what you never learned yourself. My own kids are all practicing adult Catholics (one is a priest). They say that the fact our family never missed Sunday Mass made a big impression on them. Sadly, I never hear priests mention that obligation. As a bonus we had some great faith experiences visiting other parishes on our vacations.
Today was a beautiful afternoon evangelizing for @spstreetevan . I spoke to a Catholic family from Poland ( Dad was from the same small town as St. Faustina!); a beautiful young family who hadn’t had their two year old child Baptized yet because they couldn’t find Godparents, a lovely young man who hadn’t been going to any church lately but was very enthusiastic when I explained the rosary to him. I gave him a link to find a Mass in his area and told him we would love to have him come for Easter. I didn’t choose my words, they just came. Sometimes I feel the Holy Spirit tells me what to say. He was so appreciative. There were so many more stories like this in my 2 hours on the sidewalk. Please consider evangelizing for SPSE. You will be so happy you did.
Obviously they are not kindergartners and if there are that many kids to two adults there would be no other safe way to walk the group.
When our twins were 2 we took them to Disney and had a harness for each. That way they could walk around a little while we waited in the lines. They were very happy and I could have made a fortune if I’d brought some extra harnesses to sell 😆. I have the cutest photo of Goofy holding both of their harnesses and both kids looking delighted.
When I first moved to the small town I live in I missed home and was pretty unhappy. One day I went to the local In and Out (fast food burgers) for lunch. A young employee was sitting at a table talking to an elderly customer who would otherwise have been eating alone. Both the employee’s kindness and the older gentleman’s openness really touched me. I’ve loved my new hometown ever since.
@ilisa_williams@MaryBowdenMD Great question. Medical billing is done this way. Insurance companies negotiate and pay less per visit/procedure. “Self pay” prices are the higher full prices. With insurance, even if you have a high deductible at least you pay the lower negotiated insurance price.
@Joeinblack Thank you for everything you do for your dad. I can relate even though my 92 year old mom still does a lot for herself. There is such a huge responsibility in having another person depend on you.
@miles_commodore Recently my cousins (on several continents) debated a piece of family history on a group chat that only my 92 year old mom could resolve. What a precious resource. Write it down.
So sad to hear this. My 92 year old mom is the last of her 8 siblings. My cousins do reach out via the internet across continents to her as the last living member of her generation. This is a great reminder of how important it is that we all stay connected and pray for the souls of our relatives.
🚨 JUST IN. Nick Shirley’s right hand man David Hoch just confirmed what many suspected. This is about to explode. And it is TEN TIMES WORSE.
A second video drops Monday. Worse than the first. Shocking. Graphic. Undeniable.
David has spent seven years digging into this. Not weeks. Not months. Seven years.
Here are the facts he laid out.
Five years of CCAP child care assistance payments. Top 102 recipients. Eighty four are Somali owned.
How many children has he personally seen at those centers over seven years. Zero. Not one.
Then there is Great Start money. Funds meant to train staff. If there are no kids, there is no staff. Yet the money keeps flowing.
And this is the core of it.
Non emergency medical transportation.
Minnesota recognizes 1,020 NEMT companies. Nearly 900 are Somali owned.
Nick Shirley and David visited 16 of them for the second video. David has visited about 70 total.
They do not exist.
Fake addresses. Empty buildings. No operations. No patients. Just taxpayer money disappearing.
This is not a mistake. This is not mismanagement. This is organized fraud on a massive scale.
David Hoch is a patriot. And the people involved are terrified because the truth is finally coming out.
@TaraBull808 How to answer a phone. "Hello this is ---." I was on a scholarship committee one time where a student blew her opportunity for a scholarship because she was so rude on the phone.
@optimum is the worst run company I have ever experienced. While on hold to get our internet and cable service restored, they run ads for their cellular service. No thank you. My cellular provider treats me well and I never have problems with it. @Optimum on the other hand goes down for days and the customer service agents gas light you like it's your problem. They waste the customers' time on reboots when the problem is outside your house and a bucket truck is needed. We waited 4 days for a technician to determine that. They wouldn't listen to me when I told them ( since I knew from many previous service failures) Now we are another 2 days into waiting for the needed repair. Don't ever choose @optimum. I never would again.
@goldenkey112 Just focus on the fact that bread is about to become the Body of Christ and you get to be there. You could watch a Mass on TV or the internet and there would be no one there distracting you, but you would not be able to receive the Body of Christ.
