Dan has now been locked in maximum security for
1,372 days, 19 months of it spent in solitary confinement.
He has missed birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, school presentations, sporting events and bedtime stories with his kids.
Dan is an Australian citizen but faces no Australian charges. The allegations against him are US specific, the indictment came 5 years after the alleged conduct, was kept secret for another 5 years and is cobbled together with innuendo. No-one else faces charges.
The Duggans are fighting to have Dan released. You can help with their legal fight by donating here: https://t.co/LvlqI4s7sF
Australian veteran, international lawyer and human rights advocate, Dr Glenn Kolomeitz has been strong in his support of the Duggans and has voiced his concerns about the political nature of the allegations against Dan:
“Dan’s case reeks of politics. This entire case has been Australia jumping through every hoop the United States have put up to extradite an Australian citizen and take him away from his Australian wife and his Australian kids … it’s real lapdog diplomacy from Australia.”
The Duggans have been forced to fight their own government in court. Dan should be home with his family.
The Duggans have already been to court a number of times, with no legal aid and their Australian property seized by the US it is a struggle. Please help if you can: https://t.co/LvlqI4s7sF
In September 2023, Jessica Lewis, Assistant Secretary of State for Political – Military Affairs - told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the UK and Australia needed the same laws to the US to "end up with comparable standards". She said: "I actually will say that I was just in Australia with both our secretary of state, our secretary of defense, and their equivalents. And across-the-board we heard broad support for what we are doing together." During the discussion, Lewis used the example of "an Australian pilot" to demonstrate why US law needed to be mirrored in Australia. "We are looking to extradite that pilot here under our laws to deal with that issue."
Thank you to Robbie Barwick for his contribution to the AUKUS Public Inquiry by highlighting the political nature of Dan’s case. Watch the video here: https://t.co/eaNBz6QGoc
Congratulations @MichaelWestBiz for 10 years of courageous journalism - a champion of independent media. 350 supporters celebrated his achievement last last - whistleblowers from all over Australia, journalists, politicians and supporters of press freedom, truth and justice.
Dan’s youngest kids head back to school next week. Another school term without their Dad to send them off and pick them up.
A family torn apart and financially crippled by unsubstantiated and politically motivated 14-year-old allegations.
The Australian government could intervene and reject the US extradition request at any time. Instead, the Duggans have been forced to fight their own government in court.
Enough is enough. Dan should be home with his family.

It looks like Dan Duggan will spend another birthday locked in maximum security.
He is thankful to all those who have shown their support to him and his family throughout this ordeal.
If you would like to send Dan a card or letter for his birthday on July 29, it would be very much appreciated.
You can send letters to:

Pyne concedes AUKUS will not be delivered on time or in budget! Claims that is not the most important issue.
Obviously public money is no object when your company is making a handsome profit from AUKUS.
Scott Morrison says in our interests to send our people in uniform and ships to the Strait of Hormuz.
I beg to differ. I think in our national interest to distance ourselves from madness of Trump.
Discuss.

The Duggans continue to advocate for Dan’s release.
He remains in maximum security despite facing no Australian charges and an extradition approval reliant on allegations that are retrospective and unsubstantiated.
Dan undertook a very short contract instructing civilian pilots in 1960s and 70s aircraft in South Africa in 2012, along with a number of pilots from around the world.
He is the only person that has been pursued and arrested.
The family’s property was seized and they are ineligible for legal aid. Legal fees have crippled their finances.
Please support them if you can: https://t.co/LvlqI4s7sF
Thank you to @DavidShoebridge who recognises the injustice of an extradition approval based on retrospective charges.
Dan’s case could set a dangerous precedent for all Australians.
Dan faces no Australian charges, his ALLEGED conduct was not considered a crime in Australia. Many other pilots from around the world worked at TFASA at the same time and face no charges. This includes other Australians, Canadians and UK citizens.
Dan maintains his innocence, and yet the charges against him can never be tested in an Australian court.
It is time for the Australian government to step up and allow Dan to return to his family.

Excellent question
1/ the ABC and SBS are both number 1 and 2 most trusted sources of information and news in Australia - by a very large stretch. The pro-Israel lobby want to focus their attention on infiltrating the purest news sources
2/ both ABC and SBS also part of the culture wars totems - universities, lefties, the arts, ABC, SBS - all the things the usual conservative supporters of Israel like to attack (and you'll also notice the organisations the Israel lobby and Jillian Segal like to regularly attack too. No coincidence)
Putting the ABC and SBS under the microscope plays into the culture wars warriors who can continue to rail against the fact that the ABC and SBS are full of "lefties and bias"!!!
Today marks Dan and Saffrine’s wedding anniversary.
Their love continues to overcome the adversity and trauma placed upon them by the false allegations levelled at Dan.
The couple are optimistic that Dan will be home to celebrate the next one.
The Australian government could reject the US extradition at any time and allow Dan to return home to his family.
Please support the Duggans if you can: https://t.co/qyogQjnh1A
Dan is loyal, hardworking and dedicated to his family and friends.
Dan’s ALLEGED conduct was not considered a crime in Australia, and he faces ZERO Australian charges.
Many other pilots from around the world worked at TFASA at the same time as Dan.
None of the so called ‘co-conspirators’ in the indictment face any charges.
Enough is enough. Dan should be home with his family.
Please support the Duggans to pay off their legal fees if you can: https://t.co/LvlqI4rzD7
This is quite an egregious insult to the complainants in both of these investigations into NACC Commissioner Brereton
This is the same mindset that helped create the Robodebt furore - oh well, they've resigned now so there's no point in pursuing justice
This does nothing at all to strengthen public trust in the NACC
Saffrine Duggan spoke of the devastation and disbelief her family feels in the decisions of the Australian government.
Dan has been in maximum prison now for over 3 years and 8 months. He is working hard to remain strong for his family.
A husband and father locked away, their property seized, the financial struggles to raise 6 children whilst paying legal fees and fighting to have an innocent man released all take its toll.
Please support the Duggans if you can: https://t.co/qyogQjnOR8
Playing the Trump Card.
Under Infantino, there’s no longer such thing as an ‘independent FIFA Committee.’
There is only the ‘FIFA Committees for the protection of image, promotion of autocrats and any and all regimes with money to fill FIFA pockets, and the capitulation to power irrespective of the damage to what’s left of its Statutes or the integrity of the game.’
Trump proudly proclaims how he influenced the unprecedented decision during a World Cup.
What an embarrassment for football.
Australia feels like another place entirely when you see what is happening to the Duggan family.
Dan was arrested in a supermarket carpark, thrown in solitary confinement for 19 months, with no knowledge of the charges against him for the first 2 months and now has been kept in maximum security in NSW prisons for over 3 years and 8 months without any Australian charges.
The property on which the family planned to build their dream home was seized by the US and they were denied legal aid.
The allegations against Dan are US specific, they occurred in South Africa and Dan was an Australian citizen at the time.
The extradition request is reliant upon a law that was passed in 2018, even though the allegations occurred in 2012.
No wonder it feels like a nightmare.
Please support the family and demand Dan’s release: https://t.co/qyogQjnOR8
