@MrTibblesNewEra@toryboypierce Used to use BA because you paid a bit extra, but the service provided was better.
Now when you pay extra for BA flights you get Ryanair standards. I'd rather now pay Ryanair prices and their consumate level of service!
@JanChat56@HannieLacey@currys Not always true. Our fridge freezer came on a polystrene base - took 2 of us to get the bloody thing off this by leaning it left a bit, then right a bit, then left...
No way an older person could do that. Also, if you pay extra for install, why would you expect to do it yourself?
@RealismHelps@HannieLacey@currys You have no idea how far away Mum lives, or if @HannieLacey is able to install the fridge herself.
Moreover, she paid for a service, which @currys have failed to fulfill ! Rather rude and condescending reply you sent!
@JeremyWesthead@lollujo@JustEatUK Had a customer complain Fedex had delivered his parcel for 2 days. Rang Fedex (not an easy task) and was told the "roads into that estate are all closed", so rang customer on the other line to check this... Guess what, NO road closures around him at all! Parcel delivered that day
@ScottyBeeIsMe@StephenKing I see you believe librarians all have the same 'leaning' - whatever that means, and are incapable of sorting books into age appropriate groups.
PS. I was a school Governor for over 10 years, so do know how schools and their libraries operate...
@color4d@SarahCholwill So as long as the phone goes into a pouch during the school day, no problem.
If phones aren't allowed in school at all, then tell them your son is unable to attend, due to their ignorant new rules!
@ScottyBeeIsMe@StephenKing Agree he should have mentioned Apt Pupil.
However, argument that pre-teens could read the book in school is surely wrong: librians can ensure all books issued out are age appropriate...
@GolfGirl_Love@StephenKing So you criticise a book, which you then openly admit you haven't read yourself...
Try it, reading that is, some books might be distasteful, even disturbing, but well written books can open your mind and make you think beyond the obvious.
@ScottyBeeIsMe@StephenKing Apt Pupil is a disturbing, thought provoking, well writtem novella.
My question to Scotty is what's wrong with you, if you feel teenagers are not mature enough to read such challenging material?
1984 is also disturbing, but a literary classic...
