@dcsandbrook and @holland_tom really enjoyed the mention of Richard Martin in pod, not only was he a famous animal rights proponent he also was a renowned duelist! His ancestral home Ballynahinch Castle was later bought by Ranji the first non- white to play cricket for England.
@NealIreland challenge is bottles can easily be recycled back into food grade PET but if mixed in with general ‘green bin’ recycling they can get contaminated and are not suitable for food grade usage. they end up as tshirts & car tyres. Instead of being used several times they’re used twice
@higginsdavidw Hi David, great to see a decline per capita the challenge though is Paris protocols are based on an absolute reduction. So for countries with growing population it’s a challenge. Similarly for businesses with growing volume it’s also a challenge to deliver the absolute reduction.
@monicabyrne13 That’s Clifden castle built by John Darcy the founder of the town. The town was founded in 1812 and the castle slightly after I think. He was a benevolent landlord who built the town to improve the life of his tenants. He lost the estate after going into debt due to the famine
