“If you think you can, you are right. If you think you can’t you’re right.”- Willie O’Ree. @willieoree22#HHoF Fredericton,Thinks he can! https://t.co/ZSRZayNs1C
Good to see @TSNHockey and @frank_seravalli leading the way in Canada and creating awareness about getting Willie into the HHOF 🙌🏾 https://t.co/45UwSskBLk
No question for me. The work he has done as a Builder over the last 20+ years is incredible. He's still pounding the pavement, flying all over the place at age 82, to share his story and include everyone. https://t.co/gRUvYfd1ZB
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to @steverosenbloom and all the hockey fans in Chicago who have contributed and supported the Fort DuPont program in DC. I appreciate all the support that I have received from my teammates and so many in the hockey community.
@smithpelly23 O'Ree is quoted as saying: "Fans would yell, 'Go back to the South' and 'How come you're not picking cotton?' Things like that. It didn't bother me. I just wanted to be a hockey player, and if they couldn't accept that fact, that was their problem, not mine."
@Capitals@M_Nichol Pretty embarrassing that this still happens. Doesn't shock me though which is the saddest part of all. Those ppl should be banned from every rink in the NHL #ignorance@NHL@NHLBlackhawks
