The IRGC regime brutally oppresses its own citizens, overwhelming majorities (70-80%+) hate the regime and thousands were recently killed when advocating for democracy. Leftists who backed the 1979 revolution were purged/killed/exiled, even Muslim minorities groups are systematically persecuted, and dissenting clerics are imprisoned or eliminated. And now, leftist dogma is falling apart because Trump is a champion for feminism.
@stingerdelux@HonTonyAbbott The hard facts are that the world has never been more peaceful since US became a superpower. Despite many issues of the US, they have been fighting for a peaceful global hegemony. Australia gets all the fruit from this peace, yet our contributions are pathetic.
@PlumbRit3@PeteZogoulas Donations are voluntary, for an investigation and accountability, tax is taking from us involuntarily, then giving it to corrupt frauds, thieves, and parasites. They mock a system meant to help the most vulnerable. They're a cancer devouring our nation. Wtf you defending them?
@PeteZogoulas There is a notable case with Metropolitan Plumbers, they exploited search engines to inflate prices. E.g. A 98-year-old WWII veteran charged $31k to repair a toilet. It raises questions: Is NDIS linked with this case? Fueling scammers and/or, negligent with preventing scams?
I know several people from disability care and they have shared anecdotes of fraud. Examples include a person with a mild disability, was incentivised to be unemployed since NDIS funding would be higher than their salary, and businesses like landscapers, plumbers and electricians charging excessive fees (eg. $10k for a $500 job).
@cryaboutitboy@esjesjesj I'll try to be central; the conservative right is arguing that immigrants can saturate the number of voters, therefore "threatening democracy." Secondly, government workers deserve safety, which includes identity protection.
@mannequinwizard@TPostMillennial I feel like Charlie Kirk's assassination could have easily led to violent protests. It's undeniable that figures like Jones and Carlson have encouraged peaceful outcomes to these provocations.
@johnarnold@kevinsylla Geothermal would be perfect for cities built ontop of geological basins, but it involves fracking and drilling, that has bad PR and we won't see much investment for R&D. (My take on it as a geologist)
