@romanbuildsaas well done mate at the core of every b2b saas is some kind of consisteng growth engine at the end of the day. many people forget this and throw everything at the wall
@lewiscarhart only aspect I'm confused on is the open-source element and how that is scalably monetisable but I'm sure there's many clever methods here depending on industry
- aweseome work mate! B2B SAAS in my industry is quite difficult to 'break through'
@robwalling@paulg I think fundamentally people who are hanging around too much on X, especially for any B2B opportunity, could be shooting themselves in the foot. Your buyers / key customers aren't on here, unless you're selling to indie hackers or techies
@sebastianvolkis probably fair I mean you're deploying apps built with AI right - might be worth doing a bootcamp or something in your spare time to reaffirm your understanding of fundamentals particularly around security (which is where I see most AI-first devs getting caught out the most)
@sebastianvolkis makes sense I get you - but oftentimes for the higher leverage saas apps it takes like a year or more to understand if you have a decent long-lasting PMF which involves iterations of the core app ... I guess its the trade-off of committing to one thing
@tropianhs Hey Antonio, given your obvious skillset as a dev, I reckon start a services agency - dedicated to a niche you know. You can get great recurring income quite quickly, which is less demoralising, and it then inspires ideas for B2B problems which need solving
@tessiermaurice@leebetts_ I guess it depends, but it could be a particular community you're part of, it could be a larger company you build a specialised integration with, it could be a reseller, it could be access networks through events
@jeremyphoward I assume you mean the backend is quite complex? what would be a few examples out of interest? Up until now my stack has often been fastapi backend, w/ docker or kubernetes depending on scale + nextjs or react frontend. What would fasthtml allow me to do quicker?
Confirmed: Sonnet 3.7 + Cursor still excellent as a workflow for frontend iteration and testing out different designs, without being committed to one.
Allows for a totally new way of coding imo... if you head down a pathway and don't like that outcome, your time isn't wasted
