Two weeks ago, I entered a game jam with the goal of designing an original card game. Instead of using clip art or #AIart, I decided to make all of it myself.
I’m a programmer. This took me TWO WEEKS of evenings. 27 completed #pixlart images. But I DID IT!!
Step 1: Fire all of your helpline staff
Step 2: Replace with Chatbot
Step 3: Take chatbot down because it’s promoting weight loss to people with eating disorders
#AIHorror
I just found out that Microsoft is going to be integrating #AI into Windows 11. Right now, it’s looking like a glorified keylogger, able to scan all of your files and log all your input to “help” you complete tasks.
So. Guess I’m moving back to Linux. https://t.co/4DYZWhbVuw
@legodeathstar1 I used Linux for over a decade, before moving back to Windows for games. However, gaming is less important to me than the privacy of my files. I can turn OwnCloud off; there’s no guarantee of the same for CoPilot.
Where do we go when we can make anyone do/say whatever we want? Politicians, celebrities, kids, your ex… no one is off-limits.
They can ruin someone’s life in three clicks. Maybe yours.
I got banned from Midjourney AI for generating realistic images of politicians cheating on their wives for a series called “AI will revolutionize the blackmail industry”
A couple thoughts on AI images from someone who’s good at making fake stuff 🧵
Trump cheating on his wife:
I’m not much of an artist, but until my regular artist gets back from his well-deserved holiday, this will be the mark we’ll be putting on our future #ttrpg releases. We use no AI art, no AI writing or AI-generated prompts. Our products are made by humans, for humans.
Blanket statements like this are rarely helpful. Take home coding assignments are friendlier to folks with ASD and can be very effective.
Yes, even in the era of ChatGPT.
The follow-up interview should make it very clear which devs did the work, and which cheated.
@roblittledotca I don’t disagree with this to be clear! It’s also why I don’t do take home assignments in our interview process. It’s the wrong way to evaluate a candidate
@kvlly@roblittledotca Take home problems are fine… if you make the candidate explain their code *and* their thought process during the follow-up interview. In fact, I’d argue that take home assignments are friendlier to candidates who struggle socially (autism) or may fumble live coding due to nerves
I said I won’t be buying any products that are made with generative AI, and people are replying to me with “AI iZ a TOol fOR ProFEssIoNAl aRTists”. No it isn’t. It’s an attempt by corporations to eliminate a skilled industry to make their $ line go up. I won’t support it.
