This week is Road Safety week and today we chatted about how to keep safe near roads.
The children could tell us lots of ways to keep safe, well done!
Remember to- Stop, look, listen, think!
What another busy week we had Year 1, so much learning and fun! We also learnt lots about kindness, diabetes and Children in Need!
The children all looked wonderful in their outfits on Friday, thank you for all of your kind donations! ⭐️
Topic launch 🚀
Our new topic is Discovery and the children had a special visitor today.
In their writing books, they have written lots of super questions. The children were so curious and we can’t wait to find out the answers!
The children loved their topic destination before half term. They loved learning about the snakes and bearded dragon.
Super listening skills, well done!
Wow what a busy week so far!
Lots of adding in Maths, birds in Science, reading, Phonics and discussing our new class story Pumpkin Soup.
Super work year 1!
If children would like to join in with this competition, they need to hand in their bookmarks by this Friday.
They will have the opportunity to make one in the classroom, but if they would prefer they can make one at home.
Thank you
The children have had another busy week so far. They have been learning about fish in Science, writing about our new class story ‘Oh No George!’ Writing about how to show respect, counting and matching numbers to words, plus painting in Art!
We have also started our reading challenge.
For every 5 reads the children do, they get a certificate. For every 25 reads they do, they get a prize!
So keep reading Year 1 and read as much as you can! 📚📚📚
Thank you if you were able to come to the opening evening tonight. It was so lovely to properly meet lots of you and show off some of the children’s super work.
The Year 1 children have settled in wonderfully, well done! ⭐️
This week the children loved launching their new topic ‘Marvellous Mammals and More!’ With Miss Fail during Forestry School. The children were amazing, well done!
Photos coming soon!
What a busy second week Year 1. We have learnt more about vertebrates and mammals. We have done lots of Maths, writing and artwork! We have also been learning about keeping safe on the internet and naming technology.
