In Galerio’s space, antique items transform into immersive stories. Natural hand gestures allow for deeper interaction with the antiques, revealing their meanings and significance, and illuminating important aspects of the Dynasty.

Creating a good spatial app is challenging; building a spatial storytelling experience in a ubiquitously app-free web environment is even more so. With this early access, we hope you enjoy the novel experience and eagerly await your feedback to help us continuously perfect it.

Do we really understand the true essence of 'Real Spatial Experience’ ?

Spatial Experience is not merely about being physically present in a space, but about how deeply you connect with it through a blend of physical and digital elements. It's about feeling immersed in a narrative, interacting with digital content in a meaningful way, and creating sticky memories.

As Marshall McLuhan famously said, 'The medium is the message' . In the context of Spatial Experience, the space itself becomes the medium for conveying information, emotions, and stories. It's a shift from passive consumption to active participation, from linear narratives to immersive experiences.

'Spatial' can be experienced through interaction between individuals and digital information within a three-dimensional space, creating immersive experiences that blend physical and digital elements, as seen in augmented, virtual, and mixed reality applications.

We're thrilled to begin our introductory series with Spatial Computing as we eagerly anticipate Galerio's launch!

Coined by Simon Greenwold in a 2003 paper (https://t.co/8uqUuPSyPd), spatial computing allows users to interact with digital information in three-dimensional space, blending physical and digital worlds. This concept gained significant attention in 2024 with the launch of @Apple's Apple Vision Pro.

Spatial Computing

For decades, spatial computing has been popularized through AR, VR, and XR technologies. Early challenges such as motion sickness, tracking accuracy, and low display quality were common on early devices like Oculus. However, the Apple Vision Pro (and potentially, upcoming @Meta Quest 3) has addressed these issues significantly:

High-Fidelity Quality: High-resolution displays may not be as critical on portable devices like phones or laptops, but for XR devices, covering the entire field of view, high resolution is crucial to deliver a life-like and immersive experience.

Device Personal Fitting: Personalized measurements and optional prescription lenses enhance comfort and usability, reducing common issues with XR devices.
