@CPTowers Agreed. I had one 10 years ago in my thirties also for a health issue. It was really not bad at all. Not going to volunteer to do one, but I'm not concerned about the next one.
@SopanDeb Curious as to why you cut out the paragraph right before with the Mike Wallace quote in your screenshot. Why did that need to be in Collins' obituary? We're all aware there are homophobics in the world.
@CPTowers@tybuttrey_ Geez, Chris, don't you know teams love players with checkered pasts that aren't going to compete every time they take the mound? /2
@p_priggs I don't see a situation where they don't at least give the four-year seniors an extra year to avoid lawsuits. Also don't think five-for-five applying to 26-27 freshmen and beyond is a tenable solution. Maybe we'll actually get some actual info from the NCAA.
It's going to be messy whenever it happens. Rip the band aid off now. Create the framework, give all four-year seniors an extra year, and let the five-year seniors sue for eligibility. A year from now, it'll be much cleaner.
The DI Cabinet did review the five-year, age-based eligibility concept during its meeting yesterday and work on the concept will continue, sources tell @YahooSports.
While hurdles remain - especially as to implementation - there is serious consideration in adoption of the concept
