I wanted to share a quick personal update: I started @SurfReportApp to make capture management more practical and affordable. Through my work in grant writing and capture management, I’ve seen how much time goes into prospecting and triaging opportunities.

Surf Report monitors federal agencies for consistent, up-to-date funding information. You can quickly add company profiles to rank opportunities by fit across entire grant databases, rather than relying only on keyword searches or searching agency by agency.

Traditional searching is included, too. Search across databases, save opportunities to your lineup, and track deadlines on an interactive timeline. You can also explore USAspending records, companies’ entity information, and prior awards to better understand the funding landscape.

And there’s a little surf culture built in: design your own surfboard, use it to capture content on your screen, and ask AI questions about what you’re reviewing through our agent Grant.

My goal is simple: help small businesses, nonprofits, students, and researchers spend less time searching and more time building partnerships and pursuing the right funding, while keeping costs as low as possible with pay-as-you-need AI services.
