@MannySoEasy I don't know why you are assuming that. I didn't say that my situation was the same as the OP. I was able to save money, and paid into my 401K, with employer matching, and IRAs.

I just said I also worked as a teen, at SS covered employment.

@MannySoEasy @DissentFu Are you really questioning someone working at 15? I was mowing 5 to 6 lawns a week at 13 and 14 years old, earning about $200 a month, which would be about $1,920 today.
Then I got a job at 15 earning a paycheck, that started me paying into Social Security
