@elonmusk Always wanted a Model S but wasn't able to make the purchase. Once I heard you were stopping production, I decided to pull the trigger. Found out today after 6+ weeks that my order won't get fulfilled. Pretty annoying to find out after waiting for weeks for updates that all the signature edition orders got fulfilled but mine for some reason 'didn't make the cut'. Not a great experience for someone who has been a @Tesla fan for a long time.
500 people decided to build something together.
Every commit. Every fix. Every feature.
None of them were asked. They just showed up from every corner of the world and made Directus better.
Thank you to every single contributor. You're the reason this exists. 💜
Although our competitors haven't updated their "WHY WE'RE BETTER THAN DIRECTUS!!!" pages, we can confirm our visual editor feature exists and is awesome 😜
A few weeks ago, I shared a thought that’s been stuck in my head - how AI can finally bridge how creative and technical teams communicate:
Design + development.
Marketing + engineering.
Creative intent + technical structure.
We brought that idea to life yesterday in a new way with our 11.13 release.
Directus now includes native support for the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, which turns our data platform into what I am calling a 'collaborative' CMS.
Here's what I mean by that:
For years, content workflows have been full of friction: Marketing has an idea, developers build the structure, then everyone waits for the other side to catch up. Tickets pile up, deadlines slip, and energy drains out of the process.
MCP changes that. It lets AI handle the translation layer between human intent and database structure.
For example:
A marketer can say "import this blog post from Google Docs" and the AI understands both the content and the schema it belongs to. Or a developer can model new data, and non-technical teams can use it immediately.
Developers keep control and visibility. Marketers move faster without waiting in line. Everyone works at the same speed, in the same system, with the same context.
That’s what a collaborative CMS really means in 2025.
Removing barriers, not replacing people.
BTW -- If you're curious how this all looks in practice, we've got some great videos and examples on our Directus MCP page: https://t.co/MP8qXGXTNu
Brand licensing has been operating the same way for decades: slow partner discovery, manual contract reviews, delayed royalty payments, and zero visibility into the process.
Our partners at @DATAC saw an industry ripe for disruption.
They built Dolicense, an AI-powered marketplace that fundamentally changes how brands and licensees connect and work together.
Machine learning algorithms analyze brand attributes and licensee profiles to surface relevant opportunities in minutes instead of months. Natural language processing reviews licensing agreements automatically, flagging compliance issues before they escalate into legal problems.
The platform runs on @reactjs and Directus, with the headless CMS handling all content management and providing a unified dashboard where users track agreements, monitor compliance, and view royalty payments in real-time.
The @Stripe integration automates the entire payment flow - no more spreadsheets or disputes over calculations.
The results:
→ 60% reduction in partner discovery time,
→ 40% fewer legal disputes, and
→ 90% user satisfaction.
Our favorite thing about this? How Data C took technology that exists - AI, automation, headless architecture - and simply applied it to an industry that's been largely ignored by modern software development.
Proof that some of the biggest opportunities are in the least glamorous places...and all you need is the right stack 😉
I'm still running on fumes from a 4am arrival Monday, but also feeling more energized than I’ve been all year.
Last week our global @Directus team met up in Sardinia, and wow. Just… wow.
Sure, the island was stunning (top 5 sunsets, easily), but what really hit wasn’t the scenery. It was the togetherness.
Laughing, sharing food, jumping in the salty sea, talking about life, working side by side. All the small, human moments that remind you why we do what we do.
Directus has always been global by design. We believe talent is everywhere, and that you don’t need four walls to build something extraordinary.
But every now and then, you step into the same room as each other and feel the heartbeat behind the work.
And the timing couldn’t have been better. We’re heading into the end of the year with so much ready to launch – things we’ve been building toward for a long time.
This week refueled us exactly when we needed it. The energy coming out of Sardinia? Unreal.
Huge love to everyone who made it happen, and to our crew who showed up from every corner of the world with such positive energy.
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be part of a globally distributed team that actually feels like a team, this is it.

Looking ahead, we’re growing. Among the positions we have open right now is the need for an incredible Documentation Owner to help us level up our developer experience.
Someone who can turn complexity into clarity, and help thousands of builders do their best work.
If that’s you (or someone you know), let's connect.

Let’s keep building, keep connecting, and to the Directus team – in the immortal words of our trip MVP Beth... F.E.U.!! 💥
Hosting 300+ startups and processing thousands of job applications, @euratechnologie found that their website just couldn't handle the scale.
Startup founders were frustrated, job seekers were bouncing, and the team was drowning in manual processes.
Our partners @WebVision360 saw the problem differently.
Instead of just "fixing" the website, they built a content powerhouse. Directus became the brain orchestrating everything: startup profiles, job feeds, lead capture, you name it.
The breakthrough? Separating content from presentation meant EuraTechnologies could finally move at startup speed. Now:
> New companies can be onboarded instantly
> Job postings can go live automatically
> Virtual tours can showcase their spaces like never before
The real win wasn't just technical though, it was human. Startup founders now spend time building, not fighting broken forms. Job seekers find opportunities that actually match.
The EuraTechnologies team focuses on fostering innovation instead of wrestling with their CMS.
Shoutout to our friends at Web Vision 360 for proving that the right architecture can change everything! 💜
Never forget. Never again.
It’s not just a promise. It is our mission.
We will carry out our mission with every tool, every resource, and every ounce of strength this Department has.
May God bless the United States of America.
Webhooks aren't just for developers anymore.
Marketing teams are using @Clay to enrich leads automatically. Operations folks are building workflows in @n8n. Sales teams are syncing data between 5+ tools without touching code.
The no-code revolution made webhooks accessible to everyone. But most CMSes still make you feel like you need a engineering degree:
❌ Complex API docs and technical setup
❌ Custom code for basic integrations
❌ IT tickets just to connect two systems
Directus gets it. Our webhook setup is as simple as the no-code tools you're already using:
✅ Visual, point-and-click configuration
✅ Choose what triggers your webhooks with dropdowns
✅ Pick exactly what data to send (no bloated payloads)
✅ Connect to Zapier, Make, n8n, or any HTTP endpoint
Your marketing automation, sales workflows, and operations should flow seamlessly...because everyone deserves data that just works.
