@luke2177 The afl need academies because developing kids in those areas is left up to the clubs and the incentive is there to make sure the kids are developed. Drop the academies and then the afl would have to put the money into those areas and there's no drive to make sure it succeds

@rockwiz38 Afl needs to set up academies in every state if they're going to 20 teams. They have to rope kids in at 10 and above so we are getting the best kids and developing them. Bugger all money is being put into pathways in WA

Another buyer to compete with the butchers for feeder lambs which would be good seeing they fill their feedlots up and then the heavy lamb market never really peaks cause the butchers demand isn't there
