Josephine Riley Matthew (1897-1993) Licensed Midwife, delivered 1300 babies (Black and white) in rural South Carolina. "I was supposed to retire when I was 72 years old, but when I was 77 when I retired. On my 76th birthday, a lady had triplets. It was quite a birthday present."
