Shut down the family courts.

We need a safe, simple, affordable, accessible way of dealing with family breakdown.

It needs to be designed with the equal participation of families, not by lawyers and professionals who profit from it.

It needs to be 100% dedicated to protecting children's safety and welfare, not the revenue streams of professionals.

Sir Andrew MacFarlane. The fathers' rights movement always had his sympathies. Mothers and children, not so much.

The family courts have been awful for many years, but since about 2013 they have become death traps for children and families.

Children's services have lost their good staff and are now employing inexperienced youngsters and unaccountable contract staff.

Familes believe that some of these contract social workers may be involved in human trafficking rings.

We can count on one hand the number of family lawyers people trust. Most people feel their own lawyers sold them out, deceived and failed them.

Some conceal from clients that they take commission for high interest litigation loans that cause bankruptcy and homelessness.

Most child custody cases feature "expert witnesses" - mental health practitioners who are supposed to evaluate the family.

Some are completely unregulated. But even @gmcuk regulated psychiatrists are capable of writing fraudulent, negligent, defamatory reports.

This is a scam.

Cafcass, the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) is universally reviled as damaging and dangerous to children and families.

Families feels this body endangers children rather than protects them. It's a waste of public money.

In 2019, a senior judge at Guildford Family Court awarded custody of Sara Sharif and her brother to their father, knowing full well his record of violence towards women and children. There was no evidence that their mother had harmed them.

This judge is hiding behind anonymity.
