𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲:
𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡.

The Traditional Religion Practitioners across Nigeria came together during 2026 ISESE DAY to advocate for the recognition, protection, and inclusion of their indigenous belief and cultural heritage in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The proposal structured into five concepts as follow:

𝗢𝗡𝗘: 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗟 & 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

1.Constitutional Amendment: To push for amendment to Section 10 & 38 of the 1999 Constitution to explicitly recognize "Traditional Religion" alongside Christianity and Islam. No more "other" category.

2. National Holiday: Demand federal holiday: Ifa Day Jan 8.

3. Traditional Religion Commission: Create a government parastatal like NIREC but for ISESE. Mandate: to register temples, issue IDs to priests, mediate disputes, manage festival grants & allocations

4. Burial & Marriage Rights Act; Law that guarantees right to traditional burial and marriage, with clause that officially recognizes traditional Institution marriage Certificate.

5. Heritage Protection Law: Federal law to criminalize demolition of shrines, sacred groves, and artifacts.

𝗧𝗪𝗢: 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

1. Curriculum Reform: NERDC should include "Yoruba Worldview & Ethics" as a subject in JSS3-SS2. Topics: Ifa 256 Odu, Taboos, Environmental laws, Oriki, Conflict resolution.

2. Accredited Ifa & Cultural Academies: Federal funding for 6 zonal Ifa Universities. Courses: Herbal medicine, Aesthetics, Priesthood, Yoruba Language, Arts. Issue diplomas/degrees.

3. National Digital Archive: 3-year project to video, audio, and transcribe 1000 elders. Archive Ifa verses, medicinal plants, oral history. House it at UI and OAU.

4. Media & Nollywood Reform: Petition NBC + NFVCB to Ban films that depict ISESE as "ritual killing" without balance. Demand 30% of cultural grants go to ISESE-themed movies, music, and documentaries.

5. Language Protection: Make Yoruba + Indigenous language compulsory to SS3. No more "English only" in schools.

𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙀𝙀: 𝘿𝙄𝙂𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔 & 𝙀𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙊 𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙂𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙕𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉

1. Anti-Hate Speech Law for Religion: Expand cybercrime and hate speech laws to include attacks on Traditional worshippers. 2 years jail or fine for calling ISESE "devil worship".

2. Equal Status in Public Institutions: Babalawo and Iyalorisa must be allowed to swear affidavits, stand as surety, and conduct oath-taking in court and government offices.

3. Security & Victim Support: Create a desk at NHRC + Police for reporting attacks on temples. Fast-track prosecution of mob actions. Compensation fund for victims.

4. Public Rebranding Campaign: 12-month campaign: `ISESE = Ìwà, Ìmọ̀, Àlàáfíà` - Character, Knowledge, Peace. Use billboards, radio, and influencers. Partner with WHO to show traditional medicine value.

5. Workplace Policy: Federal Character Commission should include ISESE adherents in employment data. No more "State of Origin + Religion: Christian/Muslim only" forms.

𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥: 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

1. Chieftaincy Law Reform: Selection of Obas must be 100% by kingmakers + Ifa. Governor only "recognizes". 90-day timeline to prevent Stool from staying vacant.

2. Reject Politicization Bills: Crowns are not political positions. Each stool has history and must be respected.

3. Statutory Role & Funding for Council of Obas: Give Council of Obas constitutional role in land matters, security, and cultural policy. Annual budget from state IGR for palaces and festivals.

No true Christian should ever become a king in Yorubaland. No true Muslim should be made a king in Yorubaland as well.

Kingship in Yorubaland should be exclusively limited to those who:
1. belong to royal families and
2. practise the yoruba traditional religion.

I will explain why.
The reason is simple:
The Yoruba traditional king has his first allegiance to the Yoruba deities and Yoruba gods.

A true Christian has his allegiance only to God and God alone. According to the Bible, a Christian can serve no other gods apart from God alone. The Christian loyalty is to God alone.

A true Muslim also believes there is no other God but Allah. So a true Muslim cannot have allegiance to ifa or traditional deities.

A true Christian has his allegiance only to God. He will not, and he cannot have his allegiance to traditional deities, who are actually considered idols, according to the Christian faith.

This is why no true Christian should ever aspire to be a king, and no true Christian should ever be a king, in the African traditional context.

I also believe that the custodians of African traditional religion should start automatically disqualifying anybody who is a Christian or Muslim from occupying kingship positions in Yorubaland. Except the person denounces Christianity or Islam.

The reason is simple:
A true Christian is loyal only to God.
A true Muslim believes there is no other God apart from Allah. However a true Yoruba king is loyal to ifa and the Yoruba traditional deities.

Also a kingdom is established usually on the basis of a divine order of some sort. The yoruba kingship is established by yoruba ancestors as authorised by ifa and yoruba deities. The king in that tradition is actually considered a custodian of the customs, practices and beliefs of the yoruba traditional religion. So if he’s a Muslim or Christian, how can he uphold what he doesn’t believe in?

Let me give you an example to prove this. The king/queen of England is a Christian Protestant monarchy. If you are not a Christian (specifically, Anglican) and not from the royal family, you can never be king/queen of England. That’s how it works. If Prince William were to hypothetically convert to Islam, he can never be king. Because his coronation is done in and by the Church of England, and one of his roles is “defender of the faith”. So how can he defend the faith if he doesn’t believe in it?

In the same way;
how can a Christian or a Muslim be a king in yorubaland and he will truly perform his duties as required by the traditional religion (knowing fully well that this person can never pledge allegiance to the Yoruba traditional deities)?

Okay, I have words now - since no one wants to say it, as it is a cursed burden to labor through this world in rationale and logical thinking when the major floating precipice of existential social reference, is bias.

Racism isn't a mono-directional chasm.

Black people might actually be as racist <<if not more>> racist than their white counterparts.

Caveats:
- I don't really care for the US elections, even though most people would call that a naive statement especially as we exist in an intraglobally woven politocoeconosphere, but there's enough problem in my backyard already.
- I think Trump would make a terrible President. He previously has.

But the crux of the Kamala campaign has hinged upon "her blackness" and "gender".

Rhetorics like:
"as a black man, why would you be voting for Trump?" have been disgusting to read.

Because since when did blackness become a disability?

Not one person has campaigned for Trump on the grounds of his skin color, at least not publicly. NOT ONE TWEET have I seen.

And to even read this from Nigerian pro-Harris supporters has been unfortunately hilarious because how are you fastidiously encouraging the same rhetoric you're criticizing T-pain's erats for?

"It's hightime we voted in a female President"
Since when did electoral offices deface from the standards of capacity and segued into gender representation?

Instead we've seen and heard otherwise, to confirm that - there's no empirical evidence that an elected person performs better on grounds of their gender.

Right in our backyard, a group of women drove what still stands as, one of the largest/viral movement against Government oppression and police brutality in Black History, specifically Nigeria, #EndSARS

These women, under the umbrella of FEMCO, oversaw the mismanagement of over 300M in naira, 9 BTC.

Let's not even open the books of Diezani.
So no, I'm not voting nobody just because she's a woman. No one should, either.

Women have even publicly attested how they are prone to irrational decisions during hormonal upspikes.

Not one campaign outfit hinged upon her abilities.

It has been a shitshow.

I'll close with an unfortunate realisation:
With the right amount of bias, we're all intrinsically similar.

Blacks have proven to be as racist as white people.
Igbos have proven to be as bigoted as Yorubas.

Most recently popular,
Christians have proven to be as fanatically driven, extremist in agenda - just like their Moslem brothers.

Identify as akara while nailing another for being moinmoin, when in reality we're all different flavor of beans.
