Adding a famed philosopher to the end of your quote can make you sound more profound than you are. ~Plato | Burning the midnight oil to study race traces.
@OrcusFire@JackieF1nut Top talent has left due to the cost cap a long time ago. Don't ask an F1 recruiter why it's so difficult to hire anything higher than a senior engineer.
@dr_obbs Surely, the idea here is to reduce the form drag, to reduce the upwash of the entire rear wake structure. If possible, even by introducing some downwash to counteract that. The lack of a DRS pod centrally will reduce drag, but that can be done without inverting the wing.
@redlightsoff5@dr_obbs "Except for a failure of the Rear Wing Adjuster System, or during the transition between Corner Mode and Straight-Line Mode, RW Flap can only have the two positions defined in (c)."
Clearly, you are allowed whatever incidence you want in between the 2 modes.
@king2king955@brakeboosted The Merc double DRS had its own issues, namely, how to fit 2 channels of air through the chassis from RW to FW. This actually limited their in-season development as they couldn't move packaging around easily. It also became harder to make wind tunnel models quickly.
