The three new murals celebrating Black history in the McDougall Street Corridor are stunning. Jermaine Baylis, Ed Irmen, and Derkz did a phenomenal job. Such an honour to attend yesterday's launch. @ecbhrs@WindsorEats@FedDevOntario
Jermaine Baylis was a local artist who painted the mural of Alton C. Parker.
Check out my interview with him from today’s @WindsorMorning which includes a touching story about the reaction he got from Parker’s family as he was making it

The @ecbhrs unveiled three murals today at @WindsorEats celebrating the Black History that exists within the McDougall Street corridor.
The murals honour such historical figures like Canada’s first Black detective Alton C. Parker and Canadian Athlete Fred Thomas.
Proud to announce $100,000 in funding through the @FedDevOntario Tourism Relief Fund this afternoon for the @ecbhrs - commissioning 3 remarkable murals @WindsorEats celebrating Windsor-Essex Black History.
Shout out to DERKZ, Jermaine Bayliss & Ed Irmen for this amazing work!
