If you live with a chronic illness and are in need of support, I believe my blog will interest you. I write about the struggles and triumphs that come with a chronic illness. #linkinbio
Democrats all over my timeline are legitimately worried about the scope and scale of this damn thing as it sweeps the globe. Republicans are worried about how it'll hurt Trump's chances in November. I wish I could offer more nuance, but that's about it.
As posturing heats up alongside the primaries, I just want to make clear to young folks voting for the first time in the US; the policies Warren and Sanders advocate for are not considered radical at all here in Europe. They are what we expect the state to provide its citizens 🖤
This is extraordinary, and underscores why so many of us believe that democracy is at risk.
Trump is saying he is going to fire federal employees (not just political appointees) who oppose him politically.
Dictatorships, not democracies, require loyalty tests.
This week marks one year since the House passed universal background checks.
What has the Republican-controlled Senate done to combat gun violence in that time?
Absolutely nothing.
Warren was not mean, nor angry.
She was effective.
And by the way, we are allowed to be angry about racial profiling. You’re allowed to be angry about sexual harassment. Or at big banks committing fraud against single parents.
Anger at injustice is quite appropriate.
AOC, Tlaib, and Omar are bullied by Twitter all day long. If candidates want to end hate so badly, why not stand up for the freshman representatives (who happen to support @BernieSanders) that represent the country we live in. Is it bc it only matters when it's convenient?
Honestly, there should be themed debates. Doing so educates the public far more on issues & actually serves the purpose of distinguishing who knows what they’re talking about +who doesn’t.
Climate debate. Foreign policy debate. Healthcare. Racial justice. Labor&Econ. Can’t hide.
