Today, Friday, March 22nd, from 6:00 PM, my permanent exhibition "Women. Life. Freedom" will open, featuring ten drawings from the exhibition "The Massacre of Flowers," which I had created at and in collaboration with the Castromediano Museum #Lecce@MuCastromediano.
At #Lecce, at Masseria Tagliatelle - Ninfeo Station. The exhibition is curated by @TdfMediterranea with the support of the Regional Council of Puglia.
The exhibition is part of a series dedicated to #Narin, one of the symbolic figures in the struggle of young Kurdish women for freedom and self-determination, featuring a series of events focusing on women who have inspired and implemented social and cultural revolutions over time and space, paving the way for gender equality. #Iran
Innocent Bahati is a popular Rwandan poet known for his open and critical expression on social issues affecting ordinary Rwandans.
He has been missing since 7 February 2021. Bahati published his poetry on YouTube and Facebook and regularly performed at poetry events in #Rwanda. His poems include ‘Mfungurira’ (Open); ‘Rubebe’, a satire about the church; and ‘Uwenda Ngomba u Rwanda’ (The Debt I Need for Rwanda) among others.
His whereabouts remain unknown and Rwanda authorities continued to be evasive and non-committal about investigations they claim to have conducted.

Since November 29, 2023, I have been deprived of telephone calls and visits. This ban has just been extended because of the letter I recently sent to Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, asking him to criminalize gender apartheid.

22 months have passed for Narges Mohammadi without seeing her father, and 3 months without being able to speak with him due to banned phone calls. Even today, she wasn’t allowed to make a call to offer condolences to her family. / Video was taken in Nov 2020

Today, #KarimMohammadi Narges Mohammadi's Father departed this world, having endured 22 months without seeing his daughter and 3 months without hearing her voice. We emphasize: it is Narges's ABSOLUTE RIGHT to attend her father's funeral.
We are deeply concerned about reports of attacks on publishing houses in the West Bank. Freedom of expression is fundamental to democracy and must be protected. PEN International stands in solidarity with those affected and calls for immediate action to safeguard press freedom.
We support the right to dissent and call for an independent and thorough investigation into #AlexeiNavalny’s death. Justice and transparency are crucial. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
They killed him. I am heartbroken. I am thinking of his wife and kids, his friends and colleagues. RIP courageous #AlexeiNavalny. May you find many wonderful rivers to swim in. https://t.co/SnNhiYKbuP
We are very concerned about the updated ACE policies on 'reputational risk' and the chilling effect it may have on artistic expression. We will continue to engage with @ace_national about the impact of these updates on freedom of expression and artistic freedom.
@PENIreland @WingsLetters What kind of inhuman regime/government is this? All our support with Narges Mohammadi, a woman of extreme courage who fights for the rights of all others. She is in our thoughts. The truth will set you free...and the truth terrifies the regime in Iran.

Political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian, currently in the 16th year of imprisonment at the Central Prison of Yazd in central Iran, is reportedly being denied access to essential medical care unless she complies with specific demands that paint her as a criminal, instead of a woman who has spent most of her life in jail in Iran without due process.
According to the Kurdish human rights news service Kurdpa, she is being pressured to record a false "confession" for state TV, as well as agree to collaborate with state security officials as a spy.
Jalalian, an ethnic Kurd who has been imprisoned in Iran since 2007, is serving a life sentence for her alleged involvement in a banned separatist group. Despite her urgent need for crucial medical treatment for severe health issues, including heart, intestinal, and kidney diseases exacerbated by inhumane prison conditions and mistreatment, Iranian authorities have refused to release her.
