@ChildrensFndn A1: Students need live teaching (in-person or virtual). Expecting students to learn adequately with only one to two hours of instructions per class is making many students fall behind. Teachers Matter! #MIVirtualEdChat
@ChildrensFndn A1: After a year of virtual learning we need to realize that students and teachers sitting on Zoom for five to six hours = burnout...just like at work! #MIVirtualEdChat
We believe that every student deserves to have a winning future. Our children should never be afraid to walk down the street, should never have to hear a racial slur said to them, or passed over for a job because of the color of their skin. https://t.co/oP7SIuztJ3
In the fall, we need to make sure there are continued plans for mental health support for our students and have as much in-person schooling as possible. Many students are not engaging with video schooling and are overwhelmed.
