@ChildrensFndn Q5: Have patience and give them grace! When we go back to our offices, we will forget the rules, be uncomfortable, or be nervous. So will our students. They have been taking tests at home so taking them at school may create more anxiety - have a plan for this. #MIVirtualEdChat
@ChildrensFndn School staff are in a uniquely difficult position: preparing/delivering remote lessons, connecting with students and families, navigating unfamiliar technology, helping their students cope… prioritizing their own self-care is key! #MIVirtualEdChat
@ChildrensFndn Parents & teachers can help students through this transition by acknowledging & validating their feelings. Invite them to talk about their feelings without judgment & let them know that however they feel is ok. #MIVirtualEdChat

@ChildrensFndn A2: Students will be behind. Hopefully we can take re-think educational structure. Projects vs testing, longer school year w/more breaks, teach what is most important to catch up, decrease the number of standardized tests, record classes so students can re-watch #MIVirtualEdChat
