For years, most of Mr. Peter Obi's political allies and supporters have come from different parts of Nigeria especially the North and other regions outside his ethnic group.
Yet some people still label him an "Igbo candidate" to push cheap political propaganda. Mr. Peter Obi represents competence, accountability and national unity.
His vision is for a Nigeria where tribe and religion no longer determine our choices but character and capacity do.
Nigeria must move beyond division and embrace a future built on unity and progress.
A new Nigeria is POssible.
Nigeria will be OK.
President Tinubu to Address National Assembly
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a Joint Address to the National Assembly on Friday, June 12, 2026, as part of a series of events to mark Nigeria’s 27th Democracy Day anniversary, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) announced
The disclosure came during the inauguration of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) tasked with organising the national celebrations. Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, CON, who inaugurated the committee at the Shehu Shagari Complex in Abuja, said the presidential address forms a key highlight of the modest yet purposeful programme approved for the commemoration.
Senator Akume described Democracy Day as a solemn occasion to reflect on the sacrifices of Nigerians who fought for the return of democratic rule, paying special tribute to the heroes of the June 12, 1993 struggle and the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola.
He noted that the day offers the Federal Government an opportunity to showcase achievements in strengthening democratic institutions and advancing national development despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.
With only ten days to the anniversary, the SGF urged committee members to hit the ground running. He emphasised that this year’s activities would align with the nation’s mood and the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility.

State Police: Constitutional Amendment Nears Completion, Says Presidency
The Presidency announced on Thursday that the Federal Government has made substantial strides toward establishing state police, with a constitutional amendment anticipated in the coming weeks.
Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents after a high-level consultative meeting convened by the Presidency at the State House, Abuja.
Gbajabiamila said deliberations on the framework for state police began three to four months ago, following a direct order from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Establishing state police is not something that you do with the snap of the fingers. There is a lot involved in terms of constitution and legalities,” he said. “Thank God we have now gained a lot of traction. Hopefully, the amendment will come shortly, and the details of the amendment will come after that.”
He explained that discussions have now advanced to the stage of fine-tuning the necessary constitutional amendments, after which an enabling law will be enacted.
“Right now, what we are looking at is the constitutional amendment itself, and then the enabling law would follow thereafter,” Gbajabiamila added.
The Chief of Staff noted that the national conversation has shifted from whether state police should be established to how best to design its legal and institutional framework. He said there is broad support across the country for the initiative.
FG Flags Off Reconstruction of Gombe-Biu Highway
The Federal Government has flagged off the reconstruction and dualization of the Gombe-Biu highway, a project valued at ₦1.245 trillion.
The ceremony took place at Liji in Gombe State and was performed by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya alongside the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The 125-kilometre road will be reconstructed and dualized by Hi-Tech Construction Company using rigid pavement technology. The project scope has been expanded to 139 kilometres following a request by the governor to route it through the Northern Bypass.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the highway as an important economic and social corridor linking the Northeast with other parts of Nigeria and neighbouring countries. He said the project is expected to improve trade, transportation, and regional connectivity.
The governor noted that the road was originally built in 1962 and last resurfaced in 1976. He commended President Tinubu for approving the project and pledged that the state government would work with the federal government and contractors to ensure its timely completion to specified standards.
Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, said the project forms part of the federal government’s infrastructure priorities.
According to a report by Daily Nigerian, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has intensified efforts to persuade former Kano State governorship candidate Dr. Nasiru Gawuna to contest the 2027 governorship election on its platform in the State.
Atiku supporter are the most comic clowns 🤡 on the Internet right now. 🤣😂🤣
Omooor! LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
So, here's the thing; between yesterday and today, as part of their usual hallucination, they started the agenda about the possibility of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala becoming the VP candidate to their Serial Loser.
Matter of fact, the way they were posting it, you'll think NOI is at their beck and call, and that they only just needed to see if people will like it before ordering her to come be their VP candidate. 😂
Even I started wondering what they were high on. 👀😵💫
But, I just ran into some of their posts now, where they are now saying things like "For Atiku to have even been considering NOI as VP, it shows how much he value competence bla bla bla". 🤣😂😅🤣😂😅
And I'm like; wait, that was what that whole agenda was all about?
Damn! 🤣😅😂 Aswear if you really observe those Ati-Clowns 🤡 on the TL, they are so funny. If it's comic relief, I give it them. Phewww! 😅
Wife travelled to Dubai for two weeks
She returned home to her husband and children
Night came, husband perceived that the wife was smelling strangely
Husband told wife his observation and told wife she has to get checked up by the doctor or gynaecologist
The test was done, and the wife was diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection
Wife told husband she has been faithful even though a rich indian man followed her throughout her stay in Dubai
She swore she didn't sleep with the man
Six years later, the two of them were getting a divorce
Wife wrote as part of her accusations against her husband
"He gave me a sexually transmitted infection."
Husband called me and has been screaming curses at her and her lawyers since...
He said he refused to accuse her of infidelity, despite the obvious evidence and she has now accused him of infidelity and used what she did as evidence against him
WHY RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO IS MORE STRATEGIC THAN ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR POLITICALLY
Flashback to 2014 when they both contested for President under APC to challenge the GEJ led administration, Kwankwaso was the sitting Governor of Kano and he knew he stood no chance against a Buhari backed by Bola Tinubu and New PDP members but to him contesting was more of political exposure, he knew as at than he was going to remain as Governor after losing, his tenure was to ended 2015 and same year he was elected as Senator, he had his cards well played and kept him relevant politically.
Atiku on the other hand had just defected from PDP knowing fully well that the master minds of the merger were backing Buhari, he contested and became 3rd behind Kwankwaso who was second, was Atiku thinking Buhari will just do a term and hand over to him or after his 8 years the party was going to allow another northerner contest.
Flashback to 2023, Atiku contested after Buhari, a northerner had just finished 8 years in office, Kwankwaso on the other hand contested to help the down ballot candidates win with the party he defected too ‘NNPP’ and also help his Godson, Abba Yusuf emerge as Governor which he succeeded with, the party also produced Senators, house of reps and assembly members, if you think he contested to become President it makes you naive.
In 2027, he decided not to contest but Deputize Peter Obi, playing the long game for his 2031 Presidential ambition knowing fully well the South still has 4 years to serve, it is on record he adhered to zoning, will be easy for the South to support him in 2031 without hesitation.
Atiku on the other hand is running as the sole northerner despite having 2 major southerners as Presidential candidates, it would have been strategic if Peter Obi was going to be his running mate, but since that was proven abortive I don’t see a pathway to Atiku Presidency in 2027.
Facts are stubborn.

🚨 Pep Guardiola: “What is Barça missing to win the Champions League? The Champions League is a competition that DESTROYS projects, and I hope that’s not the case at Barça”.
“We must not think that just because you don’t win it, everything that has been built is no good. The league is the competition that gives you consistency and continuity. In the Champions League, you need to reach the decisive stages in good condition, without injuries, and refereeing also has a huge impact”.
“What matters is that the daily work is excellent, that the team keeps growing and improving, and that they don’t believe the season is a failure just because they don’t reach the Champions League final or win it. The league is what sets the foundation for judging whether a season has been good or not”.
Kwankwaso may have thought he was dealing with Uche Secondus as in 2019, believing he could easily manipulate the process, betray trust, and walk away without consequences.
He may not have realized that this is under the leadership of General David Mark, a seasoned political strategist and master of the game.
Gawuna will most likely accept the ADC platform. As for Obi, he should keep a close eye on his side mirror.
This man right here brought the disaster called Buhari out of retirement and packaged him into Aso Rock. He knew Buhari was a disaster, but he saw him as his pathway to Aso Rock. He tried to become Buhari's vice president; when Buhari refused, he nominated Osinbajo.
Buhari caused so many problems, and Tinubu came in and added his own. It feels like Tinubu is trying to outshine Buhari in a competition for disastrous leadership.
This is All Political Calamity (APC)!
Babachir Lawal’s Kachalla 2 makes the Atiku problem even worse.
In Kachalla 1, he accused Atiku of hijacking ADC, rigging the primaries and turning the party into his personal 2027 machine.
In Kachalla 2, he goes for the deeper wound: Atiku’s character, competence and fitness to be Commander-in-Chief.
Babachir is basically asking:
Are Nigerians wrong to question the character and competence of a man who wants to command our military and manage our common patrimony?
That is the real question Atiku’s defenders keep trying to dodge.
They want to scream “Obi is dividing the opposition,” but one of the major insiders in their own so-called coalition is saying the real issue is Atiku himself.
Not Obi.
Atiku.
Babachir says Atiku’s people avoided the substance of his accusations and instead descended into insults, threats and propaganda.
He says they attacked him over the “grass cutter” scandal, but he insists that case ended with no evidence of criminal wrongdoing and that he was discharged and acquitted.
He says they called him names because he questioned Atiku’s political project, but he insists it is his right to interrogate anybody who wants to become President of Nigeria.
Then he lands the real blow:
He says ADC should replace Atiku with a more qualified candidate if the party wants any hope of winning the presidential election before INEC’s timetable runs out.
Read that carefully.
This is not an Obidient saying Atiku cannot win.
This is Babachir Lawal, a Northern insider, telling ADC that Atiku is so electorally poisonous that the party must replace him quickly if it still wants a chance.
So again, how is Peter Obi the spoiler?
Peter Obi did not make Babachir call Atiku unfit.
Peter Obi did not make Babachir accuse Atiku’s camp of rigging ADC.
Peter Obi did not make Babachir describe Atiku’s supporters as goons and propaganda merchants.
Peter Obi did not make Babachir warn that Atiku’s candidacy is an automatic ticket for Tinubu’s second term.
Atiku did all that to himself.
Kachalla 1 says Atiku captured an opposition platform.
Kachalla 2 says Atiku is not fit enough to lead the country.
Together, they destroy the propaganda that Obi is the problem.
The real opposition crisis is not Obi refusing to 'kneel'.
The crisis is Atiku’s endless ambition, his seventh presidential project, his inability to unite even his own coalition, and the fact that a major insider is now openly begging ADC to replace him with someone more qualified.
So when Bloomberg, Reuters or any careless megaphone tries to paint Obi as the spoiler, show them Babachir.
The spoiler is the man whose candidacy is already scattering his own house.
The divider is the man whose coalition is bleeding from within.
The gift to Tinubu is not Peter Obi running.
The gift to Tinubu is Kachalla Atiku Abubakar forcing himself on the opposition once again😭.
Since this incident of Tinubu's doctored recording happened, Tinubu's Presidential mouthpiece, Bayo Onanuga, keeps progressing in error.
First, there was a fabricated AI-generated voice clip falsely attributed to President Bola Tinubu, with a simulated voice making controversial claims.
Every right-thinking person will agree that it was clearly doctored.
But somehow, VDM was linked to the story because an unidentified unscrupulous individual decided to lift the original footage from a video previously posted by VDM, where he had discussed an old campaign clip of President Tinubu promising stable electricity. The individual then superimposed the fake AI-generated voice of President Tinubu onto VDM's video, making it appear as though VDM had leaked or endorsed the recording himself.
Ordinarily, what a presidential spokesman with influence and experience would have done was to order security and forensic investigations before taking any action. Instead, Bayo took to his official X handle and accused VDM of spreading fake information, even calling for his prosecution without first verifying the authenticity or source of the video.
Now, after several independent fact-checking organizations and digital investigators analyzed the clip and confirmed that it was a deepfake, noting that the audio contained unnatural cadences and other signs of manipulation, the best thing Bayo should have done was apologize to VDM and Nigerians while ensuring that thorough investigations were carried out to identify the actual originator.
But instead, Bayo still pushed for the arrest of Ifechukwu Dennis, a young man from Benin, by the IGP Intelligence Response Team after he was accused of being the primary originator of the recording.
Another investigation has now been conducted by Femi Unfiltered, who revealed that Bayo Onanuga acted based on the video he did. However, Dennis was not the original creator or mastermind behind the generated recordings.
According to the findings of Femi Unfiltered, Dennis merely downloaded and circulated a version of the manipulated video and was not the person who fabricated the AI voice or merged it with VDM's footage. He even openly called out the authorities for failing to conduct a thorough investigation before taking action.
The question is: why is Bayo hell-bent on progressing in error?
What will it take for Bayo and the security agencies to conduct thorough investigations before making arrests?
Does Bayo not understand that arresting anyone linked to such allegations means they may suffer enormous discomfort, public humiliation, emotional trauma, and other consequences long before they are able to prove their innocence?

For VP, Atiku needs a popular southerner with money and respect.
He can't find that.
Amaechi will not spend money and Amaechi can't win any state in the south.
Makinde is not willing to run with him.
Again, it's over. Peter Obi was the only plan.
Up till now, Atiku Abubakar has been working round the nation like an ultimate quest in search of a Vice President that can add real electoral value to his ambition.
The search has taken him across different regions of the country, yet the perfect answer seems to remain out of reach.
He had been directed to Ihediora of Imo State in the South East, but some persons have advised him that Ihediora might not give his ambition the value that it deserves. Apart from the fact that Peter Obi's influence could swallow up whatever Ihediora or anyone else may try to secure for Atiku in the region, there is also the Hope Uzodinma factor. Many believe Hope Uzodinma would deploy every available strategy to secure the required 25 percent for Tinubu and APC.
Atiku has also looked towards the South South, and Rotimi Amaechi's name keeps popping up. However, some have advised him that with Wike firmly planted in Rivers State, that state may be a no-go area. Not to even talk about the fact that Wike has repeatedly promised to make sure Atiku does not get up to 10 percent of the votes there.
In the South West, it could have been Seyi Makinde. But Seyi seems very focused on his own ambition and appears unwilling to be distracted by another man's political journey.
As things stand, Atiku does not seem to have come up with a convincing VP idea. Some people have even suggested that he should pick Kenneth Okonkwo or Dele Momodu. But the Waziri has reportedly rebuked such suggestions, insisting that such calam!ty will never happen to his ambition.
And that is where the real puzzle lies.
With the South East presenting its own complications, the South South looking increasingly difficult, and the South West offering little encouragement, the road ahead appears more challenging than many imagined.
The question is, who will bail Atiku out at this point?
