@BhaddestBaddie@wanderIeave Sadly she recently deleted it even though people loved it. Nothing to do with anything. She just never finished the fic, and people kept commenting asking for the next chapter, so I think she was just done.
@Kymanifesto It's completely stupid. They're assuming that anyone using the number 47 in their Fic means it's AI, even if there's no other tells. Like that's not a number? Of course some people are gonna use it randomly.
@Kymanifesto Then:
Look for these words, and ask yourself: are they needed or can the sentence work without them:
Immediately
Already
Lightly
Almost
Then
Without x
Before verb-ing
@Kymanifesto Okay I skimmed it. I edit fanfics for friends but here's my advice (not ai related but can be tells):
These two aren't really needed, could rephrase or cut: No notification. No sound. No sudden reopening of the program.
No darkness. No cramped space. No granola smell.
@Kymanifesto Yeah whenever a paragraph is standalone it can be tiring because often it can be attached to the previous paragraph. Same with short sentences where you can use commas instead of periods.
@07delulu@thenahr It's actually my fear, I'm like, what if my readers think that's what I'm fantasizing about when really it's what the characters would do?
@gothamcityelle I'm wondering is what the goal is. It feels like they want to bully the accused authors out of AO3. And that once you're accused of using AI, there's no redemption, no matter what you do, and zero nuance. And anyone supporting the accused are shamed too.
