The more you learn about child abuse, the more you begin to realize that unconditional love is expected from children toward their parents, not the other way around. And it was never the other way around.

When I was younger, I rebelled against the idea that cooking was something I was obligated to do. As I grow older, I’ve begun to fear that if I don’t learn my grandmother’s and mother’s recipes, I’ll lose the flavours I love most. Both of these things can be simultaneously true.

Depression is actually a stagnant spirit.
Exercise is universally advised because of this reason.
I agree, but it's a small wing of a much bigger bird:
Flow state.
Movement creates momentum which creates FORCE, a reminder you are alive.
You re-enter rhythm, trance, flow...
Which I've always found to be healing, still I always wondered:
How can I live like this?
How do I make it a habit?
How can I have this feeling all day long?
Here's what I've found to work:
- Tea. Lots of tea. Tea consumption is flow state
- Animal flow + Qi gong
- Running (bonus points if in the rain)
- Martial arts
- Candle meditation
- Loop one song 24/7 (silences logical mind)
- Monitor screen playing endless stream of inspirational videos (creative symbolism)
- Flashcards with NLP styled questions (triggers motivation)
- Zero gluten/dairy
- Pine pollen from Primal Alchemy (prana charged)
- Challenge my creativity: film a documentary, music, write a book. Moments of just trying things, then it working; creates a childlike adventure many search for
- Drive to places then drive back without gps
- Make it a philosphy. A mental reminder.
- Find what focuses you.
- Detox everything that take away from this state
- Curate a list of videos, tweets, writings that inspire this
- Study Feng Shui
- Write your own ethos on life, practice those laws
Creates a continuous flow of moments, alive sprit, sense of "anything could happen right now."
Shy kid in the corner was asked to pick a paper and if it was blank the class could go play, none knew every paper was blank, such a sweet way to make someone feel special
