@Beneliciousss @jacobmparis There is an easy way to check - the Alibaba page for this model (but not the AliExpress page) has a video where they uncap a marker and the VOC number goes up, but so does the CO2 number. If you uncap a marker and place it by the sensor and the CO2 number goes up, it's faking it.

@Beneliciousss @jacobmparis That's not a real CO2 sensor. It measures VOCs and estimates CO2 from that, and can be wildly inaccurate. The "NDIR" in the description is a lie.

The sensor component alone in the Aranet4 costs $50.
