@Spac3Gh0s7_ But also I have to say whenever I was at Bloc Shop I never went to the locker rooms there. I just dumped my bag in one of the cubbies downstairs and got to it.
@Spac3Gh0s7_ Depends where the layover is. If you layover in Toronto you are screwed because you will have to do customs.
If it's a major airport it depends on the setup to transfer your baggage, whether it is the same terminal, and even the distance between gates.
I once worked on a game where the LDs refused to use highlighted assets for progression and one time one of them made a random asset bright orange for funsies and our playtesters spent hours trying to interact with it rather than with the actual object needed to move forward.
Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth stoked an anti-yellow paint debate, but games like Stalker 2 and A Quiet Place are still resorting to the glossy, guiding muck.
Here's why it needs to stop: https://t.co/6tEbcXNpeT
FINALLY got a chance to jump into the re-release of @SquingleGame on Quest, and I'm reminded just how unique of a VR puzzle game this is. Like, the gameplay appears almost completely original to me (closest inspiration I can think of is those 'don't touch the hoop to the wire' spatial puzzles, but inverted). It's gotta be so tough to market since it doesn't look like anything else out there, but there's something extremely satisfying to the gameplay. And from a technical standpoint it's pitch perfect. The visuals are unique, mixed reality looks and works great, and the whole thing runs sharp and smooth. The onboarding and presentation is spot-on, all the way down to the $1 'demo' ('Squingle Mini') which gives players a 10% discount when they reach the end and points them directly to the purchase page of the full version right within their headset. This appears to be one of those rare cases where and indie dev (@benjamin_outram) somehow has a super wide range of technical, artistic, and game design talent, and makes something that's not just fun, but one-of-a-kind.
@Spac3Gh0s7_ This is so funny because yesterday I went out with my new camera at a mini concert at a bar and immediately ran into a guy who had just gotten the same camera and had me babysit it while he went out to get some food.
Just sitting there with like 10k of camera equipment. LMAO
